I cheated and watched Jack's death in season 6 when I was in seson 4. He was holding the spot where Juliet took out his appendix when he died, but Juliet sewed them up in season 4, so my guess to why Jack died was from his stichtes ripping open. Am i right?
I want to find Great TV show like Lost... but i know it will be very difficult.
Ofcourse I could learn from Lost many things, Lost gave me a chance to think deeply about my life,frendships,who i am, relationship between parents and me and so on,,,
I know I have to"moving on" but i can't yet. I don't have what it takes when Lost ended.
In my opinion Jack and Locke were the best characters. Kate got on my nerves at various points because of her lack of faith within Jack and Sawyer got me annoyed because his solution to everything was to punch someone in the face. Regardless they both came around in the end so i have no grudes. I just love the way though how they made Locke after he died become apart of Jack. U can see Lockes faith and hope come out of Jack at various points. killing off Locke however was the worst idea ever
@RoSe24GrEenTeA I agree in that it sucks that someone as awesome as Locke had to die, but I think killing him off was sort of a way to stick it to common media convention that, "The good guys always live." Locke's life sucked, and in a way I think the show was trying to say, "Not everyone's life has a happy ending." It's not always easy, and sometimes the most honest, noble, and faithful people are dealt a shitty hand. The point is that Locke was a good man despite everything.
"It was only supposed to be me so I could do this." Pretty damn courageous. Jack couldn't live unless he was saving people... and in the end he saved them all. Tragedy in its purest form.

Notice that Jack's life was shit when he wasn't saving people, and when it turned to shit he tried to fix it by... well, saving people. The island gave him a chance to totally focus on the one thing that gave his life meaning. Despite all of his flaws as a person and in his relationships with others, in the end he did the only thing he knew how to do: Save the day. A true hero.

Some gorgeous composition Giacchino -- this theme and Uematsu's "Aeris's Theme" are the two most heartrending compositions I can think of in pop culture in the recent past.
@YoursIsSmaller its sort of funny that we tend to defer to someone who seems to be a good leader because of his status in life. that doesn't make him a good or natural leader. Just that everyone deferred to him because of his education and his authority in an operating room. Through most of the series jack showed he was ineffective at leading look how many of his decisions ended up being not very good choices/decisions.

@Sperxy92 You can always go back. Take it from one who started to watch the show only after the series had ended. Thank goodness for DVDs. I bought my son the collectors set and he made me start watching. I couldn't stop, once I started...and months later, here I am listening to the music over and over. It is truly quite beatuiful.
Oh Jack.... Such a noble man... chronically, unconsciously flawed... but wonderfully noble. So glad Vincent was there for him at the end. When he hugged Locke in the church, my previous crying overwhelmed into blinding amounts of tears. I love LOST.
Jack and Desmond are my favorite characters. I'm going back and watching the series again and I can't help but notice all the scenes that are truly beautiful. It's hard not to get teary-eyed watching Jack try to resuscitate Charlie when he finds him hanging in Season 1. Such a gorgeous scene, Matthew Fox is a severely underrated actor.
Really all the actors on Lost do a stellar job but Matthew Fox isn't one I see praised all that much and he really deserves it because he's fantastic.
Im on my 3rd go around with LOST..I got past the part with Charlie coming to LOCKE for this drugs...That part never hit me the way it did this last time. It was beautiful in so many ways that I didnt see before. The look on Charlies face..all dirty..teary eyed..and him seeing the moth fly away..it was so very touching and symbolic..LOST fan for life..
@mikieson I'm on my 3rd way around too and when I passed that scene I had tears in my eyes esp when i saw charlie throw the heroin into the fire... charlie ad locke should've laster longer :( such great characters
@mikieson I've always thought that scene was very symbolic too. The Moth is a symbol for the struggle that all the characters face on the island. They are trying to let go of the past so that they might grow and become stronger, better people.

I loved Jack. I can't get over Lost---it was my favorite show and no show will ever replace it. The music was incredible, the show was executed greatly. Jack and Locke were my favorite characters. I wish I could find someone like Jack---he is selfless and realistic

It's hard not to get teary-eyed watching Jack try to resuscitate Charlie when he finds him hanging in Season 1. Such a gorgeous scene, Matthew Fox is a severely underrated actor.
Really all the actors on Lost do a stellar job but Matthew Fox isn't one I see praised all that much and he really deserves it because he's fantastic.

Im on my 3rd go around with LOST..I got past the part with Charlie coming to LOCKE for this drugs...That part never hit me the way it did this last time. It was beautiful in so many ways that I didnt see before. The look on Charlies face..all dirty..teary eyed..and him seeing the moth fly away..it was so very touching and symbolic..LOST fan for life..

@mikieson I'm on my 3rd way around too and when I passed that scene I had tears in my eyes esp when i saw charlie throw the heroin into the fire... charlie ad locke should've laster longer :( such great characters

@mikieson I've always thought that scene was very symbolic too. The Moth is a symbol for the struggle that all the characters face on the island. They are trying to let go of the past so that they might grow and become stronger, better people.

@Moollii i think also, like a moth, trying to get out of it's cacoon, they characters were trying to shed their past, and become someone new.

@mikieson...3rd go around..DAMN i was planning on re watching them again also...maybe ill start around the time that it would start if their were another season...its still very fresh in my mind, i kinda want it to leave my mind for a little bit more the re watch them to catch the things i missed the 1st time around... the moth episode is also one of all time favorites too

@jaymac508 YEP im on the 5th season disc 3 now..:)...should be on season 6 in a day or so...I would have waited..but I just love the show so much. Its still all I think about..its so awesome and spiritual in so many ways..Just really grabs the heart...

I loved Jack. I can't get over Lost---it was my favorite show and no show will ever replace it. The music was incredible, the show was executed greatly. Jack and Locke were my favorite characters. I wish I could find someone like Jack---he is selfless and realistic

the 3 dislikes are from people that wouldnt know a GOD of a show nor real music if it crawled up their butt and they pooped it out...I cant imagine NOT loving this show..

I like everything about Jack. Guys like Jack don't mess arroud. Remember series when he was so fucking angry to his father... Everything Jack has done in lost is worthed to think very deeply... Possessed with LOST till death!

wow...i miss this show SO much now i feel empty inside. Glad to know im not the only one =] michael giacchino's music makes me cry because it reminds me of Lost...any one watch Fringe? Music's similar to Lost since Giacchino does it.
