@SienBlog Are you talking in defense of laptops? If so, I agree somewhat. Things like Virtual DJ and Traktor can do amazing things. Even Richie Hawtin these days feels that beatmatching is a skill, but it's better to do what you need to to bring about an interesting musical journey. Maybe I'm just being old fashioned. :[ I've been tempted to buy a Numark Mixtrack to toy around with.

I think sometimes it does come to the generation of the DJ, its impressive to watch what some of the turntablists do at DMC competitions by a long shot, but you're not going to take anything away from what James Zabiela does on the fly either. It depends who does what and if its in the right hands. In a toss up between Skully scratching and Eddie Halliwell trying his best, its a no brainer. Marks gonna smash him to pieces effortlessly for a lot less credit too.
