  • hahaha! You wish you had taken the BLUE pill... So true.

  • You guys focus on Quinn so much, it is freaking depressing.

  • It is for those reasons that I quit. I'm going back because I can't hack it. Rage and sadness are toxic and killing me. So I'd rather apathy. Have a good one Dave.

  • @DANE842

    ITS THAT EASY?!?

  • Choosing a slow death I barely notice (if I look the other way while it happens) over a painful one where I think nothing I ever do will be enough, feel guilty all the time, and spend most of my time in my head and spinning my wheels, and I can't even convince the people closest to me to reconsider driving for a day. When I boil it down to that yes, it's that easy.

  • @DANE842

i know what you mean, brother...

everyone i REALLY talk to thinks i'm totally insane. it takes so long to build a knowledge base for the knuckleheads that i rarely ever get the entire idea across to anyone.

frustrating sh*t, when crazy people run society.

  • it is all good i like looking into the Palantír :) things are going to get real shity and the ones that you talk to that glass over when you talk to them will be looking for a solution ... and when they are FORCED to look at what they are doing and what we have done they will start to think. i have my view on life has swung wildly but seem to fall on Daniel's idea over and over . when i came across him it all clicked i realised i was not the only one that thought this . knowledge is power

  • @acesas

yeah. its sad. most people don't want to be "bothered" with reality.

  • Then why are you all doing the same thing as mass media? Why are you letting others corrupt you? When are you guys going to get it? If you are going to be on camera so much, why dont you go outside and prove and show people what is really happening in the world? Or may be instead of focusing on the negative so much, so people what is positive going on. Man do what people are not doing.

  • I think Daniel Quin went from rejection of theism to atheism in his personel life without going through deism and pantheism along the transition. Although I agree with most of the concepts in many of his books. It just seems as though he's lost a piece of something. (faith, hope, love) I've met atheist who are really decent people, but I've never met one that doesn't seem hollow and bitter. Anyway he is still a great writer.

  • yeah, i can see that.

i've been annoyed by the fact that he doesn't "practice what he preaches" too.

then i realized that (to a lesser extent) niether do i.

i try, but i've got a long way to go.

  • Knowledge raises the awareness of problems.

I don't like this side of the coin either...!

    Be strong a little longer...

...I sense an intense odor of change in the Aether...

  • I feel the same way about Youtube. I was much happier when I thought I knew what was going on in the world by watching CNN.

  • The Red Pill can be bothersome at times. Quinn did not only focus on the negative. There is power in waking up. Keep happy.

  • and i thank you for tuning me on to Derrick Jensen and Daniel Quinn in the last few weeks . i love you and hate you at the same time :) . ...na i do not hate you for it but i do think i am still in shock i thought i was getting a hold of what i knew now i have no idea of what i know . and i kinda like that feeling it makes me want to think

  • From the time that Eve ate from the tree of knowledge, there have been many in this predicament. Taking your life will not solve anything.

For the first time in history, the masses are waking to what is going on. Now we have a chance to contribute to the correction long over due. Even the little things will make a difference.

It starts here! It starts Now! It starts with every moment we're aware. Frustration is a small burden to carry for the chance to do the right things in life.

    Homestead!

  • endgame: premise 10

i do not want to take my life.

    I WANT TO LIVE.

    not exist...LIVE.

  • yeah man .. to really live ..this 5 day 40 lifestyle is boring, and crazy ..it sucks .. but seeing things as they are sucks too sometimes .

    "life will kill ya'"

  • This society is placed by design to do what you have observed. Removing your self from the cogs and wheels of the system is the hardest thing you will ever do. But the rewords and benefits far exceed anything you have ever seen. And unlike the financial ladder which is harder to climb the farther up you go, removing your self from the system starts very hard and gets easier.

I'm not saying go back to the stone age. But to use new idea's to live a better life with out dependence on the system....

  • Hey Don, I didn't mean to imply that you would. Just that it wouldn't solve anything. ;) I have all 12 of your premises saved. All are good and shoot from the hip! I think Homesteading will do more to change the system then any political protesting. Self sufficiency is not easy, and even harder these days. This is the new goal. The next hill to climb. The closer we get to the top, the more time we have to live and enjoy life it's self...

    Peace my friend!

    Homestead!

  • right on .. homesteading is what everyone should do ... alot of other problems would be fixed when people start to work together .. instead of running the rat race .

I think this is the begining of something big.

  • It is the full circle...

    Welcome to the real world!

    Homestead!

  • There is a mystery.

That when you meet love, REAL love , that then you do not FEEL rage, but love, and see everything's alright

    cause isn't love that?

  • i feel MUCH love.

i think it causes most of my pain.

  • cold. i feel you hooligan

  • whew...

lately, i feel like everything i say is "nuts."

  • Wow. So, of course, the question is how does one get off the path of suicide?

  • Maybe I am derivative or inspired by the genuine genius of others (as is Dave, Chris, You, Me etc.) but here's my answer: The Birth of Tragedy by Friedrich Nietzsche.

The concept of the Dionysian might be it.
