@geomodelrailroader Geocoins are awesome to find and move on. I have seen several I wish I could have for my personal collection but that is the beauty of seeing them in the wild. You can appreciate them for a short time then let them back in their geocaching habitat.
My daughter and I released a travel bug in our cache and the ftf took it,,, that was on June 13th. What is the rule of thumb in reguards to a timeframe of moving it along? According to the site it is still with this person.
@lizziesmama Travel bugs are a lot of fun but once you let them go you really need to loose any attachment for them. There is a chance of them being lost, muggled, stolen, washed away and forgotten. To answer your question the guidelines ask that you do not hold onto a travel bug for more than two weeks or so but I have had them held for over a year. They tend to pop back on the radar and move around again but you have to realize not everyone takes good care of them sometimes.
This was actually one of the few video that are on Youtube that actually lets other cachers know how to log travel bugs and geocoins. We just wanted to say thank you for the great well done video. Hope that you have seen the video that we have done on how to log travel bugs. It takes you throught the process of finding a TB at a cache and than placing it in a different cache. Thanks again.
