If LOTRO is SOOO much better than WOW why are you guys all trying to compare it? People who play WOW don't even know LOTRO exists! WOW is still the #1 game so you can cry about it and try to make your game feel important but when it comes down to it blizzard is still dominating the charts. And more people STILL play WOW even when they have to pay for it unlike free LOTRO
Much more innovative than WoW, in WoW they just remake old instances because their design team are lazy, there is no community spirit, there isn't a WORLD of warcraft because you never see anyone in it (except for cities/BG's). In WoW, there is no RPG or immersive story, it's all about selfish kids wanting their epics handed to them on a plate, as fast as possible, a reason why i quit.
LotRO is scheduled to go free to play on September 10th. There are limitations on free to play but ungrades can be bought in the store they will implement. Be a good time to give LotRO a real try out.

Yep lotro is one of the best games around. Been playing for more than 2 years in Evernight server. BUT you know what is REaly Bad about LOTRO? CUSTOMER SUPORT. My acount got hacked, my 60 level characters deleted and the reply to my HelpME Email was "There is no way we can help you. Stop sending us E-mails or we will BAn your account." Whats left of it. :((
you do know if you got hacked it's your fault, and that once your toons are deleted they are gone, it would cost Turbine tons of money just to bring your toons back, cuz I bet you want your gear and all the stuff you earned back, will they take your word for it?

I really like the graphics in lotro, and i like the instances. But I do agree that the game feels bland and empty. It feels like its missing that certain little spark that makes me get really into games. But I also like how they added hope and fate, a lot of the small things they added to the game make it feel more like a real "Role-Playing" game, than a game with a bunch of anoying little kids. If you buy lotro shadows of angmar will you get any days to play the game or do oyu have to purchase extra days like a game card. I noe when you buy wow you get 30 days so i dont know if lotro does that too.
if your a fan of lotr and enjoyed the films, i would advise you get lotro, wow is a great game with more players, but i find it a bit too competitive, in lotro the gameplay is not as repetitive, and with the new expansion coming out, its gonna get even better!

Well... the thing as that if you really wanted to measure I think that maybe the'd be close in size, just an estimation. The reason lotro FEELS smaller is because they haven't yet made all those key areas like Mordor and Gondor which will be added later. Also, a little side note I just remembered: Lotro would be better for rpers: (Landroval server!) Wow, better for PvPers, and they would both attract PVE ers.

for low/medium graphics configuartion you will need at least 2.0 GHZ processor and 1 GB ram... Theres a lot of options in game so you can spend some time on getting them right for your computer...
When you buy the game u get 1 month free, after that u can pay for 1 month/3months/6months and a year...
I havent heard about that special promotion, but maybe...
I wouldnt pay for one year... u can be dissapointed or just get bored and u will waste your money...

I got the lotro gold edition installed and im a lvl 5 hunter elf, but for some reason my computur keeps resettting every 10 mins or so. i set my graphics to very low and i get like 1 hour gameplay and it re sets agian? is there somthing ive not dun if any onw knows plz tell me.

If you buy lotro shadows of angmar will you get any days to play the game or do oyu have to purchase extra days like a game card. I noe when you buy wow you get 30 days so i dont know if lotro does that too.

if your a fan of lotr and enjoyed the films, i would advise you get lotro, wow is a great game with more players, but i find it a bit too competitive, in lotro the gameplay is not as repetitive, and with the new expansion coming out, its gonna get even better!

Ok, I'm probably gunna get flamed for this but here is my opinion. And I've played both games so don't get super immature with me and call me a noob.
Wow: Good Things: Lots of Players, fun dungeons, good mechanics, and a big world.
Bad Things: Way more immature players, repitive game play, no central storyline.
Lotro: Good Things: Central Storyline, houses, music system, more mature players, more relaxed atmosphere.
Bad Things: Less Players, smaller world, and pvp is limited. Just my two ce-

Well... the thing as that if you really wanted to measure I think that maybe the'd be close in size, just an estimation. The reason lotro FEELS smaller is because they haven't yet made all those key areas like Mordor and Gondor which will be added later. Also, a little side note I just remembered: Lotro would be better for rpers: (Landroval server!) Wow, better for PvPers, and they would both attract PVE ers.

We thought they were just 18 year olds needing to get a jobu and leaving the game... But since it kept going down, we thought the new game lotro was taking them all! We interviewed them and they did... They were getting 3,700-6,000 a day... So... That;s why we are making Wotlk to get back some players...
