  • wow that was really nice..

  • is there internet on any of these computers?

  • @austinjynx What kind of billion dollar installation doesn't have internet...

  • @SkyHunter00013 very true...

  • Next space station build needs to feature rotation so it can have some semblance of gravity.. Any zero G experiments could be done in a center hub, etc..

  • beam me up to you! earth is so boring

  • 0:53 So U can has Pr0nz to watch when u get lonely in space.

  • Since there's no gravity, I don't think you sleep "standing," but you don't exactly lay down either. I guess I'll find out in 20 years or so when I get to fly >:D

  • Nice!! i love it

  • very interesting vid thank you! why di you sleep standing up??? It is blowing a winter gale here in uk on earth xxx

  • Haha, indeed I thought the same about the "private computer" remark.

Hell though that was sooooo cool though

  • mike u r my hero i look up to you i someday wish to work on the international space station

  • kwfsuper i was thinking the excact same thing...

  • The e-books are just a cover up for what he's really enjoying in his free time.

These guys/girls have the best jobs in the world, at least in my opinion.

  • thanks for the tour I can take you to a tour to the jungle jejejeejej

    so cute your family

  • loooooooool

  • hahahaha

  • Man that is freaking sweet to think that he lives in FREAKING orbit! Oh man....one day....

  • I wish I could sleep in zero-G, that's gotta be like the best feeling ever. No more bad back or any of that crap lol

  • hahaha even Nasa got view count freeze on his video's dumm youtube fix the problem

  • i wonder if sleeping in zero g is the most comfortable thing ever. like being in the womb again

  • Do you dream of flying?

    Great upload.

  • no offence to this guy but if I was there I would be staring frantically out of the window or spinning the whole time! Oh and eating/drinking floating water blobs.

  • hehe yeah ^^

  • it is!

  • haha, the sm58 is an awesome multi-purpose mic and I've seen the crew use them for more than just vox. just this mission they used it on the new urine processor, which a lav mic just could not do. I have seen lav mics use for mission comms however.

  • thats pretty interesting

  • I heard that in the ISS they uses on most of the machines Linux. I questioned this because the Micke Fincke laptop.

It's true that the first PC in the beggining seems the XP screensaver.

  • In autumn 2008 if I'm not mistaken then had a windows machine on ISS virused. I believe they all use Windows on the space station.

  • Sleeping in near weightlessness must be hard to adjust to :P

  • The door is too short....I hope they have TV...

As for the laptop, its hard to say what it runs.

Nasa uses Windows XP, VMS, *Nix (including mac osx).

I would go by the dominant operating system at nasa and say its Fedora....

  • I love it! The space station is always good viewing. When exactly was this posted, do you know?

Also, yeah that seems like a ridiculously large mic. Maybe the Russians brought it up? Or perhaps smaller equipment wouldn't have made it though the liftoff acceleration?

  • Hooray, Nasa!

  • Which operating system runs the laptop?

  • Im going to say XP since its an IBM laptop. its not mac and since the laptop in the beginning in the background looks the same and you can see the XP screen saver.

  • I would want to sleep upside down. Thanks for the tour Mike! Safe trip back planetside. I hope you make it back to the ISS one day. It seems as though you already miss it. See you in the world.

  • actually, there is no true up or down in space - there'd really be no difference!

  • Exactly. I meant in relation to the "deck".

  • Take care and be safe. You do us proud.

  • i would love to see more vids like this

  • you need to get some color on those walls. warm pastels might go well for spring. a plant or two wouldn't hurt, either.

  • have a safe trip home mike and crew

  • Thanks Mike, Yeah what is it like sleeping in space.

  • Couple of throw pillows, could be really cozy.

All kidding aside, how hard was it to adjust to sleeping in space? I think for me it would take a few weeks to become accustomed to it.

  • @mikebythesun are these stuf comfortable?

  • awesome, thanks.

Did you upload this from the ISS?

  • I think not.He upload the video to NASA and than NASA upload it here :)

  • Is Nasa going to name the new modual Colbert?

they should give him a knidle.
