However, the battle skill has fate screened with the times. SWAT and Negotiater do the work that resembled Ninjutsu by the present age. Even if there is "historic value" whether a school is legitimate, there is not a meaning in utility.
Gurrila warfare, theft, reconnisance, ect. It is my belief that there are fragmented ryuha still here today. Also Oniwaban (basicly ninja turned guards)or secret garnder guards were slowly evolved into secret police and they're roots are still in existence.
Hey scotbaoisdead, check out shinobimagazine forum and look in koga section. Check out the top thread... scroll down to pillow picture. Kawakami's (or hombres, not to sure) claims of being both koga and Iga soke is surely false but this seems interesting. He may have koga ties.
Suzuki-sama, I believe today there are a few okunote practitioners. They may be few and far between though.

4年前に、瀕死の状態の迷い猫でうちに来て、回復後に、飼い主を探したのですが、見つからず、そのままうちの部屋猫になりました。もう10歳ぐらいです。
元はハンサムなのですが、このビデオでは

Dear Kazemono,
I devoted myself to a few slide shows recently.
Because break time was over,
I improves an image of Shuriken again, Since after tomorrow.
When I improve a slide show by my software,
as "if there were not an animation data", was impossible.
For example, it is "addition of an effect"
when it changes to the next photograph.
By the way "Iga" has "Mr.Kuroi"of an expert of Ninjutsu.

By the way,
Spin control, information processing, gathering information are main purposes originally in Ninjutsu.
In addition, it is murder art at another side.
However, the reason that the system broke off in Japan is because there was not utility in now.
For example, Kabuki and other tradition entertainments survive "as culture".

With "the grand art" of Ninjutsu as martial arts is,
"Employ all the things in the place".
In other words use a gun if a gun is necessary.
Use it if one nail is helped.
Use a word, if it can be settled by a word.
"Use a tool in the place of the time"
It is the core of Ninjutsu.
It is not essence of Ninjutsu to use a tool and a weapon of the old times.
