Get rid of welfare system and the problem will turn into a benefit. Immigrants are also consumers that stimulate economy and it is work that creates wealth, not some mythical inherent wealth of a country. Get rid of socialism and those people will be a benefit to UK economy, rather than a burden.

Again the law was unnecessary as there is already one which prohibits people from covering their faces in the street except during a carnival. The more you talk about the burqa the less you tackle unemployment.

@hhold I highly doubt it was done to reduce immigration. I see it more of a safety hazard. Ever seen a woman wearing a Burkha driving a 2 ton SUV? Unfortunately, I have. So did my front fender while I was sitting at the stop light she decided to cut me off at and blow while it was still red.

@hhold That is such a nonsensical point. What is the purpose of pointing that out? The two are mutually exclusive, and who would ever think a law that doesn't outright ban immigration do anything to stem the flow of immigration? Sarkozy is a puppet playing his part by drumming up fear and hatred, anything else coming from that man is probably pure BS. Ignore him as he's just as bad as Obama, Tony Blair, and the shrub.

Immigration to France is mostly from North Africa Sub Saharan Africa who happen to be Muslim. You can't encourage Immigration the way Sarkozy does but bemoan the fact Muslims bring their customs with them.

There's a massive amount of laws in France which are not implemented. Even the Burka ban was unnecessary as there's already a law which prohibits one covering one's face except in the event of a carnival.
