  • theres a lot of resistance on that chopper

  • cool

  • I have a question.... Do Thunderbolt have a Stator for the chopper or is the chopper cap the stator?

  • The thunderbolt chopper cap is the stator.

  • Is that a blower motor i see in the background?

  • It's a blower motor.

  • park tool! hehehe, they're good! siren sounds awesome

  • whats in the CD boxes in the back

  • Fallout shelter crackers

  • Very stale of course

  • I think you'll find they are both AF timers :)

  • Great job Eric! :)

  • is that a thunderbolt blower motor on the pile of card bord boxes ? and is it a singal phase?

  • That's a early single phase thunderbolt blower with some cardboard boxes on top of it.

  • Haha! The model 2 was the one that gave me the black fingernail. A Sentry 10V was the one that cut through my finger tip and the bone when I had to get it sewn back together. Model 2 choppers are definitely so easily accessible though and very temping to spin when you see them just sitting there.

  • That's so true.

  • Hey Eric you looking for a housing? I have one I'm trying to sell.

  • Oh wow Eric, that thing turned out great! Can't wait to see her complete! However, it sounds like it needs some new bearings.

  • Those are the brushes making that noise.

  • Sounds like a Thunderbolt 1000

  • same number of ports.

  • And it should too, all a Thunderbolt 1000 really is is just a Model 2 in a can with one stator port and a horn, and supercharged of course.
