  • if she is your cousin, then she is my long lost mother, she a young 56 and i am only 40. my ma was said to be a geisha girl always screaming mimi, it could be :)~

  • talented bitch she is

  • @CrazyBlue420 she is not a bitch!

  • wow who would of thought it sounds good

  • ROFLMAOO WHAT IS CYNDI DOING WITH WYCLEF!!!?

  • amazing song!

  • Love Cyndi!

  • cyndi lauper is beautiful many image and great voice

  • Just delightful.

  • Evidentemente Cyndi Lauper siempre le da un condimento especial a cada cosa que hace, este dueto me encanto, viniendo de ella ya se sabe que no falla...es la mejor de todas

  • This is a great song. Cyndi is brilliant, always has been and this is different but great.

When will this be released as a single?

  • I love it. she is crazy .. he is great too...

  • wow wyclefs career is over!!!

  • what? my nigga clef stay on that paper. fall back

  • Clef owns his own publishing... which is worth 10's of millions!!

  • fucks yea

  • i dont mean he has no money, i mean the days when he made good music ie "the score" are long gone, noone cares how much money you have. write a decent song, its not that hard!!!

  • @noclass01 yeah well his songs aren't as good as back in the day but that can be said for almost any rapper...it could also be nostalgia getting to us.

  • ewok1982, my obviously talented friend, how do you know what cyndi lauper stand for? have you listen to the words of the song? and so what if you are disappointed, you are one amongst millions who love her and this song

  • Great Performance !!!

Amo Cyndi Lauper e Amo essa música !!! Go Cyndi , go ...

  • she did not do the lushish loo loo part

  • I love this!... and Cyndi... man! she's 56 years old and look at her!!!! she looks even better than she look back in the 80's although she was a fashion icon back then... besides Cyndi has been in a lot of side projects because she is humble and she has to work, ok?... listen to her with the Minus 5 or with The Hives among many other events like Lennon's tributes or Nobel Prz. Gala dinners. The girl can sing for real and she can sing by that anything she wants!

  • 56? holy shit. besides my mother, she is officially me Shero in life.

  • @AlArZu Cyndi Lauper does not have to work, do you know how many ppl have covered Time After Time?! Cyndi has a hell of a lot more money than most!

  • @Pfalzgreven I know Time after Time has been covered by a lot of people and that translates in earnings... but I mean "she has to work" in the way ...if you are a celebrity, singer, artist or so, then you must make yourself present to all the shows and media you can attend specially in the music business that is so competitive and you can also be easily forgotten. She was gone for quite long time so it's good for her to be everywhere she can! Best :)

  • @Pfalzgreven yeah thats why she is the owner of the song ... she deserves the success and everything cyndi lauper is leyendary

  • @AlArZu She is great..... she is a woderfull artist... i love her... she is an angel on earth... she is a hard worker

  • I LOVE THIS SONG. It's a celebration of the American dream and that anything is possible if you put your heart, soul and true grit into accomplishing your goals...You can get rich and then use this money to help make our world a better place...through arts, education, creating opportunities for all. Bravo Wyclef. And love Cyndi's collaboration.

  • Una diosa!

  • I love Cyndi on this track! She's always amazing. :D

  • The cool guy playing the sitar is Neel Murgai, a graduate of Goddard College - go Neel!

  • Wycelf & Cyndi! LOVIN' IT! Loved the song since I first heard it on the album!

  • this song is nuts

  • MORE CYNDI LAUPER MORE PLEASE!!!

  • I am a lifelong fan of Cyndi's, but I am really disappointed in her participation with this "song". She has always written such meaningful music, and maybe that's what this is TRYING to be, but what is it/she really saying other than "get your money"? Come on, that's not Cyndi. I never thought she would sell out her integrity just to try to get back in the mainstream. But here she is, adding to the sad materialism and soullessness of modern pop music. Love ya Cyn, but you're better than that

  • im agree with you, but im not sure if she is doing this to become mainstream or not possibly Wyclef wanted to work with another artist who came from the bottom to the top but also added somethign special to the song sure the song is great on its own but personally without Cyndi being in the song i would'nt like it as much but yes i get your point her old music is my favorite although i was'nt born in those days.

  • stfu..mtv stan

  • @ewok1982

This song is what it is, but its not a downgrade in my eyes. Listen to the lyrics. People did know about Cyndi Lauper in the 'hood, she was one of those artists that crossed boundaries with "Time After Time". If she sung a hook for any other typical rapper today, I probably wouldn't have liked it. Wycelf is atypical being that he is a musician/producer, rapper. I like this song, but not most pop music today.

  • If you think this or just about any other song by Wyclef Jean is meaningless then you've clearly go no idea what you're talking about. You made a generalization about him based on the stereotype given to hip-hop artists. Which is sad because making money doesn't make you lose integrity. They got where they are at some how. It was doing what they do well. Wyclef is a very honest artist. Take some time to listen to what artists say before tearing them down.

  • Obviously I have listened to what he said, that was my whole point jackass, the song says nothing other than bragging about how rich he is now. Need more examples? How about 'Hips Don't Lie'. You gonna tell me you find deep meaning in that? Or how about 'It Doesn't Matter', the one he made with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. What a fucking joke. Maybe you just need to accept the blatant truth. Either that, or find some music that has more to talk about than money and mansions.

  • Out of an entire catalog of music, including his work with the Fugees a few songs about money pale in comparison to the amount of music he has about about peace/anti-war, sweetest girl in particular is about the evils of money. He's got songs about spirituality. What becomes mainstream are the songs that labels think people want to hear, but they are a rather mediocre representation of his body of work.

  • I don't doubt what you're saying. But to have a song about the evils of money & then other songs about how much he loves money makes him a bit of a hypocrite. But if you read my original post, it was never about attacking Wyclef, it was about being disappointed in Cyndi for singing lines in THIS SONG that are uncharacteristic of her and contradictory to what she has always stood for. So if you're gonna respond to my comment at least stay on topic, don't try to suck me into your own argument.

  • african americans, when we speak about "paper" we not necessarily speaking just about monies alone. its about our struggle, where we came from and where we at now and when whitey wants to talk about how we aint shit we can say "no, I am somebody, i made it to the top what you got?" it all goes back to the days of race riots. when cities like tulsa oklahoma that were burned down because it was considered the Black Wall Street (not a myth) Whitey can't take anyone being superior to them.

  • well said. people so dumb. they don't even know what real music is

  • wha? cause she singing with a nigga? if she was singin wit a white person y'all would be alright.

  • she's 56 and looks fantastic!!!

  • @harrygreen48 Did you know she is related to me. She is my cousin.

  • @RayRoark2009 ok lol what?? cyndi lauper is ur cousin??? o_o

  • @fisanch yes

  • @RayRoark2009 luky

  • @TalbotSean I have met her before. I went to one of her concerts one time. Im not trying to be a big shot but Im glad she is my cousin. Some people think she is snobby but they are verhy wrong, she is an understanding person.

  • Not that she's using tons of butox and makeup.

  • i like this live version better than the studio one

  • i agree

  • Cyndi Lauper once again proves to everybody how talented she really is! Wyclef is also amazing!!

  • LONG LIVE LAUPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I like. Unusual duo, true... song isn't very original either... but I can't help it ... it's catchy ...I really like it.

  • well number 1 again, I love it this song

  • I love Wyclef, Cyndi and DJ Rekkha. What an incredible mix of individuals and sounds. This is why I love music. It links diverse people together.

  • Cyndi is amazing! Great song!

  • LOVE CYN!

  • good song except for the rap part

  • Amazing!! What I don't understand is why they kept saying it was an EP?? It's got 14 full tracks in it?? How is that an EP? An EP has typically four to six tracks

  • The performance in this clip is not what occurred when the audience was in the studio. This is take 2 or later. In the real live performance, the timing was all off mainly because Wyclef tried to get the crowd clapping along. The crowd could not stay with him in those awkward long phrases.

  • Actually the problem was that the whole band could not hear the track in the monitors due to a technical snafu. I can speak with authority on this because I am the sitar player. What you see is take 2.

  • Hi Neel!

    Great job!

    Dawoud

  • lol?

  • Cyndi looks AMAZING!!

  • This is SUPERB. I am not a big rap fan, but just love this...Cyndi Lauper is absolutely brilliant.

BACK TO NO. 1 IN THE CHARTS!!!

    And Cyndi looks so hottt!!!

  • WOW that was really brilliant :)

  • Tight timing together and good melody line backing the hip hop. Sitar really adds atmosphere. Good stuff. Way hot

  • they killed it. pay attention rookies and see how it's done.

  • Hot performance
