I know this because I am a music producer and recognise some of the samples that are being used, that and the fact that the mix down has completely different ambience than that of it's supposed surroundings in the video. Oh and also because one of the videos used the Paranormal Activity sound effect...

The sound is real. Although there are people out there making fake videos with copies of the original sounds all over YouTube this doesnt mean the others are fake as well. I heard the sound for myself. This is no hoax.

Its utterly baffling to see people like yourself claiming these things are real when the sound here is a direct sound effect from a freakin movie!!!

I don't know if this video is faked or not - but the very same sound was heard today 28.02.2012. - in downtown Rijeka, Croatia - cca 16:30. I could hear it through the closed window (same as in this video) and when I opened the window it seemed coming from everywhere. I specify downtown because my girlfriend was at the outskirts of town at the time and didn't hear it.

Very strange experience but it's not a fake phenomena - that's for sure.

@imawakeish Just because you heard a similar sound in a movie doesnt mean that people all over the world are hearing a hoax.The sound is real, i know because i heard it myself. so before you go showing how ignorant you are think about how much evidence there is that the sound is real (hundreds of videos) and how much evidence that proves the sound is fake (none). @TheLemurYouSeek hundreds of videos...many of which use the EXACT sound effect from certain movies like Red State and War of the Worlds (tom cruise version) with many other hoax videos copying the audio directly from the first hoax videos.

Many more use specially created audio (admitted by the uploaders).

and finally there are the most common of all....people hearing (or seeing) something they don't recognize and then jumping to whatever goofy explanation appeals to them.

Hoaxes aside, many people are simply hearing something that normally would not warrant a second thought...IF they had not been primed by talk of "strange sounds from the sky!!!" scare mongering.

Why are all these vids in areas where no one is around? ill tell you , because if it was in crowded areas you wouldnt get no reaction from anyone else not connected to the filmer because the sounds are edited .

@cain2335 I think it's edited. He deliberately closed the window to show that it's genuine. Also he's got some videos of editing software posted on his channel, which name surprisingly is 'uDexEditing'.

I do believe the 'weird sounds' phenomena is real though. I also believe the UFO's and other "unexplained" phenomenae are closely interconnected, more than anyone'd think.
