@MrEnergyCzar ... not that dangerous .... yes... it's more easily ignited, however hydrogen is lighter than air.... goes up... while gasoline or diesel burns in place... hydrogen dissipates easily... also ... they are not using pure H2 pressurized bottles (so it would only burn instead of explode)... in my opinion is safer than GPL cars... ;)

Looks awesome ... i think hydrogen is the future of energy storage...

The device on my motorcycle produces over 40 liters per minute of hydrogen from water.

Generate hydrogen in the Sahara Desert and Sub-Saharan countries such as Morocco, Mauritania or Peru (coastal, desert areas where both solar and water are easily available). 100 percent of the worlds needs for energy could be generated using desalinization of water and using the distilled water feed into solar energy powered process to generate hydrogen.  The great thing is that the output is water. Non-polluting and all the energy you need.

that is nothing new at all! Buy a BMW 7 series hydrogen, an A Classe Mercedes Fuel Cell, a GM Hydrodrive. Unfortunately it doesn't work. There is a rule in science that you can't get more energy out of a system than you put in - hence the absense of peretual machines. In this case the energy to push the car forward would exceed what the turbines generate in power. Hybrid cars catch waste energy, like energy to brake a car. There must be other waste energies. For example, behind a car there is some vacuum. Maybe that could be harnassed to do some work like charge up the battery.

Sodium Borohydride is a fuel with all the energy required to power a fuel cell and run a car. Gasoline engines waste 78% of the fuel in the form of heat and unburned fuel. Any means of saving gasoline will save gasoline. If you burn less gas, you burn less gas despite what people will say.

Think about what you just said. I think you're getting a little confused. Energy comes from a source, that could be gas, hydrogen, electric etc. In this case the hydrogen fuel cell converts source energy into electricity and water in the cells. The water is the waste product and electricity goes to the electric engine. This can work, however I don't see why one doesn't just make a plug in electric car.

The reason you convert energy to hydrogen is that hydrogen can be stored and shipped. In fact, the ship, the train, the trucks, etc can all be powered by hydrogen OR the hydrogen can be used to generate electricity and then you can drive your electric powered car (but limited range of maybe 350 miles in the case of the Zap/Lotus electric car).

Cars waste fuel. There is 78% waste to reclaim as useful energy. A fuel cell could run on the exhaust and return the energy to the car's engine. An engine could be built with ceramics to run hotter and burn the fuel before the catalytic converter. Hydrogen on demand is not a total waste of time. It is an accelerator to the burning gasoline vapor. Use something that burns faster and hotter to get a fire started. It is never about getting more energy out than you put in. Just don't waste it.
