The way I see it, Keller killed himself because he couldn't stand the thought of Beecher moving on without him. To keep Beecher, he killed himself and implicated Beecher in order to get Beecher on death row so that they could be reunited in death. Such a sad story and a tragic ending, however, I really couldn't see it ending any other way, no matter how much I wanted a happy ending for these two characters.

@RKOyou It's clear that Chris is obsessed with, wants and loves Toby with every fibre of himself and that he won't let anything, not even Toby's happiness, get in the way of them being together. An ambiguous ending or a future between Toby and Chris isn't possible because that kind of all consuming love is dangerous and toxic (as Beecher says in the above video). Chris' death is the only way Toby could ever have a future.

Maybe Keller loved Beecher, but he really was poison. What he did in this scene was guarantee that Beecher would serve probably the rest of his life at Oz.

when he looks over the railing it seems to me that that was the first hint he was going to through himself over...he was checking how far down it was.
If composers Verdi or Wagner were still alive the relationship between Keller/Beecheer would have made a great plot for an opera. Sort of in an Il Trovatore, Othello and Tristan & Isolde variation. Personally I loved the way Keller died and at least finally Beecher was finally free.
Meloni is a very good actor (he act the negative character very well). And it's not funny. Maybe Beecher will die, but he stays minimuim 20 more years in prison.

Except for Keller and Beecher. Keller screws over Beecher, Beecher refuses to forgive Keller, Keller accepts his loss yet screws over Beecher one last time, and then Beecher, having been sentenced for Keller's supposed murder is seen smiling on the bus.
Goddamn was that a helluva way to end the show, though I'm still bummed Keller's dead :(

I watched OZ from its premier to this final episode, and only started watching Law & Order SVU years later, and I still have trouble accepting Meloni as a cop because all I see is the inmate Keller. As Stabler he's caring and has a strong sense of justice, though occasionally he can be threatening towards (suspected) perps, but I still keep expecting him to go all Keller on the SVU set by murdering someone and then making out with the nearest guy XD

I really felt bad for Keller and was upset when he killed himself. Towards the end of his life, he was really remorseful for all the shit he did and when beecher finally broke up with him, he couldn't live anymore. When he said "I couldn't face the rest of my life without you in here" it still gets to me. Bottom line is that keller's life was a sad story and he was filled with guilt at the end. Christopher melosoni was amazing as Keller.
@BigDipper093 Beautiful post. I do want to all that honestly felt that Chris never actually learned to loved anyone. It was until he met Beecher that he began to feel all these emotions. He discover loved. Keller was so use to killing that he thought that by killing and helping Beecher get rid of his enemies everything was going to be ok. One of my favorite characters in the show.

I have keller tatooed on my foot below my ankle, i cried when he died i actually got the tatoo 3 days before the episode of his death aired and i refused to watch it for about a month because im a little bit sad, my partner got seriously worried. oops x)

It's just that his character is so complicated, so dark, so amazingly real... at least that's why I loved him, aside from the perfect performance from Meloni. He was so completely screwed yet there were still human feelings inside, he was capable of love even though he appeared to be/was a cold killing machine. But yeah everyone has their preferences, I personally hated Schillinger. ;)

"If you really love me, then leave me alone" That line makes me cry every time I hear it. That whole scene got me balling my eyes out! sniffle! I really hoped they would be together in the end.
Keller killed himself bc Beecher didn't want anything to do with him so if he couldn't have Beecher then wat was the point of living! Keller kissed him then acted like Beecher pushed him off while saying ''Beecher don't''!!!! And that is why And how he died!
Yeah, these two are. Well, kind of. Beecher was straight before coming to Oz, and Keller was Bi, but the two of them became attracted to each-other while they were imprisoned together. And the rest is history. One of the best on-screen couple ever created, and there was lots of chemistry between the two.
My heart splattered all over the fucking floor after watching this scene. It wasn't supposed it end this way...but this was the only way it COULD end. What absolutely kills me is Keller's last words, though. Jeez, Tom Fontana really put me through hell and heartbreak with their relationship.
I know, it really was the only way. I think, had this not happened, and had the show gone on for longer, they would've been fine, but you need a clean ending for the epic love story, and this the only possible one.

@BigDipper093 Beautiful post. I do want to all that honestly felt that Chris never actually learned to loved anyone. It was until he met Beecher that he began to feel all these emotions. He discover loved. Keller was so use to killing that he thought that by killing and helping Beecher get rid of his enemies everything was going to be ok. One of my favorite characters in the show.

I have keller tatooed on my foot below my ankle, i cried when he died i actually got the tatoo 3 days before the episode of his death aired and i refused to watch it for about a month because im a little bit sad, my partner got seriously worried. oops x)

@sabeeh89 We don't like him for who he is, it would be creepy if people supported real murderous psychopaths... It's just that his character is so complicated, so dark, so amazingly real... at least that's why I loved him, aside from the perfect performance from Meloni. He was so completely screwed yet there were still human feelings inside, he was capable of love even though he appeared to be/was a cold killing machine. But yeah everyone has their preferences, I personally hated Schillinger. ;)

I get your point. His character was just so captivating. There were very few people in Oz that you could actually like as people.
I agree with you on Schillinger. His acting was so good that even when I see him in other roles (including that commercial he does now for Farmers Insurance) I cant get over my hatred for him.

Yeah, these two are. Well, kind of. Beecher was straight before coming to Oz, and Keller was Bi, but the two of them became attracted to each-other while they were imprisoned together. And the rest is history. One of the best on-screen couple ever created, and there was lots of chemistry between the two.

I know, it really was the only way. I think, had this not happened, and had the show gone on for longer, they would've been fine, but you need a clean ending for the epic love story, and this the only possible one.
