  • Made it yesterday and it is ALMOST as good as my grandma's. But still this is a cake worthy of the Red Velvet name :-D

  • I make this cake using cake flour and it comes out so light and fluffy great recipe. I've tried the ones that require shortening instead of oil yuck it was very DRY.

  • okay, so I made it! It looks amazing and tastes even better. I did everything as directed, my only problem was the cake stuck to the pan. cream cheese frosting didn't look that pretty..... so I am thankful for the pecans.

  • I've watched third video about five times in the past few days. I have the confidence to make it now...hopefully!

  • Made it last night but something was off it was just OK gotta try it out again

  • I made this cake about a month ago (although I tweaked it a little). I swear on everything I love, the cake was devoured in less than 30 minutes by everyone; was at a family gathering. THIS is the recipe to use! Look no further than this!

  • Cakeman Raven makes delicious cakes. I've lived in Brooklyn all my life and any chance I get, I have to go get a slice of his cake. The slices are huge and full of frosting and pecans. Although I don't like pecans, this is the only thing I'll eat them off of. His cakes may be a bit on the pricey side, but, heck, they're worth it.

  • Wow! Look at you! This is an amazing channel! Also truly fun!! Let's stay in touch. Visit me sometimes!

  • She need to stop asking questions and SHE NEED TO SHUT UP. AHAHAHAHA

  • I upped the cocoa powder to 3 tablespoons. Just my personal preference.. good recipe though.

  • @SandwichKnuckle thank you very much for ur advice.

  • wow i'll try it. Which makes the cake moister oil or butter

  • @100Kittigyal

Oil always makes for a moister cake! My grandmother taught me that when I was little. Sure, butter tastes better in alot of baked goods. It's irreplaceable in crumb toppings (Peach Cobbler, etc). But when it comes to cakes and cupcakes, always use oil and cake flour. You'll be glad you did!

  • that b**ch is annoying as hell
