Naomi Misora was L's helper throughout the novel, acting as his eyes, ears, and shield. Though BB never appeared in the anime, he was a major character in Death Note: Another Note.

I'd be really interested if they would make an anime adaptation of this. I mean, granted, it would be fairly grotesque due to the scenes (if you read the novel you'd understand what I mean by this) but I would definitely watch it nonetheless. Either way, I think the novel is great. I totally recommend reading it if you're a DN fan, or even if you're not, it still makes a good read.

No, unfortuantely the only characters that are really involved in the book are Mello, L, Naomi Misora, Beyond Birthday and the con artists Aiber & Wedy.

Plus the story takes place a few years before the anime/manga - so no Light/Kira, Teru Mikami, etc...
