As far as hair tips go, this advice is up there in the top five for me. I first saw this video months ago and was a little doubtful before I tried the method, but now I swear by it! The part about spreading the natural oils through the hair is SO true. Now after I wash, my hair is so soft AND the benefits last for days and above all, most of my hair stays on my head!!
Very insightful video. I dont wear my natural hair out and style it yet. But i realize when i took it out of braids the last time and i detangled in the shower i had a lot of hair shedding, But my head still feels like alot of hair is there. So now i know i am suppose to shed hair like that, since i had been holding on to hairs i was suppose to be shedding but i kept it in the braid. I will also be doing the detangle before adding anything in my hair. Good logic. Thank u my hair is alsa 4a- b
thanks for sharing - I've done a variation of this in the past. But now that I know how it helps to preserve the integrity of my hair I'll definitely be resuming the practice.
Thanks Inspired.... I needed to see this vid.... cuz I am knotted city right now... since I've been washing right after a twist out... thanks again...
Not at all. Once I do this, then my hair is completely detangled even after washing and conditioning (I do that in 4 braids also). My hair mattes pretty quickly because its so tight. The extra twisting from my styling makes it matt just that much quicker, plus if I have any shedding and/or breakage. Whew its all over then.

I think you should put some oil on your hands first though. But great idea. I do this a lot when I am washing after wearing twists.

WOW that was a lot of good info. I'll try that tonight before my wash.
