  • great video very informative thank you ,I think every bow company brings out a new bow every year its hard to keep up but your bow does the job thank again happy hunting all the best!

  • The deer reacted before you even hit it :D

  • @Dragoncro0wn cuz it heard the sound of the boy then got hit

  • I'm shocked she went that far! The way she was shooting out blood right after you hit her. Great shot. Congratulations

  • Amazing well done video, I mean to film such a thing just by yourself is just so hard! And congratulations for the shot, it won't get any better than this.

  • Nice stand set ups ...good job !!

  • Great shot and good video! She sure dropped on that shot LOL!!!

Pretty interesting filming setup but seems to work very well for you. It is hard to film yourself in a treestand shooting animals, nice job and congrats!

I wish we could shoot does here in AZ (in addition to bucks) but not near the population as midwest and back east, plus we can only tag one deer a year.

  • Excellent kill. For those of you who think the heard is too small, I suggest examining the browse line in the forest. Little to no vegetation 7' and under is indicator of a large herd, which happens to be the case in most of PA. Since wolves were driven away from PA long ago, it is the hunter's responsibility to manage the herd. Besides, not everyone fills there tag anyway. I enjoy your videos, keep them coming please!

  • Great video! We enjoy watching you all up there in the Northeast. Keep them coming!

  • Good shot its kinda wired that the gold tip broke

  • what part of pa do u live in i live in Lycoming county

  • @xoxmonkey15 clarion county

  • Do you do anything special with the hide?

  • @Hdowiak nope

  • if you get your rocks off by shooting does in pa like you did in this video, you should be ashamed!! 3 TAGS no wonder there arent many deer is western pa because pople like you get 3-6 tags each and shoot all the seed. My 13 yr old son had a doe in front of him (easy shot) He didnt shoot!!! He said to me DAD there arent enough deer I cant shoot her. Comming from a 13 yr old boy, If you are that hard up for meet that you have to kill doe, u should have your head examined!

  • @arcticpower28 you dont quite understand We have the best hunting in the whole state. We have so many deer its ridiculus. Im suprised you would make such a statement. Ashamed? Really? Sorry to hear that there are not deer where you hunt. We shoot tons of doe and barley even put a dent in the herd. Plus... you try and film yourself shoot a deer on video, zoomed in with a bow. Ive been trying for years so yeah Its awesome,If you dont get that way then you shouldnt even be hunting

  • @arcticpower28 I'm not sure about your area but here in Ks we have so many deer that it's becoming a problem. Our Department of Wildlife and Parks is proposing an even longer bow season(already from September through January) and also proposing we allow the use of crossbows during bow season to try to get more people to get out and kill some does. He may not be hard up for "meet"( I think you mean meat), but rather trying to do his part in deer management and get a little extra meat.

  • @arcticpower28 Sir Thats awesome that your 13 yr old wants to practice deer management, but deer management starts with taking does. You will see less deer. It happens. I hunted NE PA for almost 13 yrs before I joined the service. I came back on leave to hunt with my dad a few times when I coulde on leave and yes, we saw less deer than in 1990 when I started hunting. But we saw bigger, more quality bucks. Thats all.

  • That was a really nice shot. All hunters interested in being a part of the online hunting community, sharing kills with hunting buddies, and tracking your friends' trail cams should visit huntsync.com it's an awesome site

  • thats not a perfect shot you shot her right in the middle high on the gut man

  • @MrSkoaledge Actually I couldnt have placed that arrow any better. Quartering away double lung shot. It ran less than 60 yards.

  • Nice shot but safety comes first please be safe and where a harness when in a tree stand unless you were wearing one I didn't see nice video

  • nice job john. perfect shot. i wish my first deer with a bow wouldve been a perfect shot like that. but arrows in flight dont agree with branches in their way. mine was shot just to the left of the butt hole and cut the femeral. but thats a good shot. never shot pse but seems to be spot on. keep it up. never used those broadheads before. they look mean. i used rage 3 blade. anyway, keep up the good work

  • john u should do some emailing for companys and get u guys sponsored for archery martin makes recurves and compounds a few other companies do as well good luck with the rest of the season

  • it's refreshing to see someone so enthusiastic about a doe like i would be. Great shot btw! Hope u see a big buck next!

  • Awesome self filmed video, I know i wouldn't be able to do it with all that camera movement and shit. I know I surely woulda made too much noise or something lol. Props on the fat doe, man.

  • Good set up and video bro.

  • great job shooting video and the bow bro. I definitely need to get a better camera to get some field footage. Got 3 doe this year and one on camera but it was too dark to see. Keep it up!

  • Love your videos, especially the flintlock and deer drives on snow. I hunt Susquehanna CTY flintlock. Fun stuff. You need a custom flintlock, TVM or Log Cabin co. Just saying-- you'd have more fun.

  • Love your videos, especially the flintlock and deer drives on snow. I hunt Susquehanna CTY flintlock. Fun stuff.

  • Very nice idea of setting up that tripod holder!

  • Hey buddy when are you gonna invite me up there?

  • nice did you see the blood spurt when she ran

  • nice : ]

  • great shot bud, thumbs up to you!

  • Good video, happy hunting...glad i subcribed

  • Just curious why you didn't take the couple of earlier opportunities. I think your camera arm was probably in the path of your lower limb but I wasn't sure. Great shot and thanks for posting the vid

  • @jfstarr Well, I had my bow drawn but she started to walk out of frame before I could get a shot. You can hear me draw my bow a few times in the video while she is walking around right infront of me.

  • why dont you guys every post vids of rabbit, squirell, coon or other small game hunting? nice doe btw, and good job self videoing! thats really hard to do

  • @mortalcare we are all usually in the deer stand during all of small game. We hope to have some small game videos up sometime if we can get around to it.

  • @Leatherwoodoutdoors i think that would be a great idea! i loe small game hunting and would love to see a great small game hunt from you guys!

  • You guys are great! Well put together video. That gets the blood pumping!

  • congrats on the kill...good eating

  • i love your guys videos. i cant wait for the 15. thats opening day in cny. your videos are getting me more excited to get into the stand. and by the way nice shot!

  • Nice PA doe John! Congrats, I love the videos makes me really miss hunting in my old stomping grounds in Western PA...Black and Gold!

  • not sure about calling it the perfect shot but when you lay em down within a 100 yards what does it matter. congrads John now go make sum jerky :)

  • Nice work John! You made self videoing a hunt look easy!!

  • DONT EAT BAMBI!

  • Looks like we got two bleedin harts.... Great video man! We start this weekend!!

  • strange looking yet effective tip

  • What a nasty shot, great shooting. Congrats!

    Enjoy them burgers and steaks!

  • great doe to start out the year.keep the nice vids coming

  • Double lung shot. The video shows, how much she lowered herself, when she jumped the string sound. Helpful video!

  • You guys do some really nice hunting videos, think maybe you could do a couple butchering if you do it yourselves? Always nice to see more of the process of hunting rather then just bagging it.

    Thanks so much, good hunting!

  • @celstarwow I couldn't tell you how many deer I've harvested, but I can tell you that I still get excited over every single one, doe or buck. When it becomes no longer about the kill and just being out there, it makes harvesting a deer that much better. Especially when you can capture it on film.

  • Grats on the deer. you seem to get a little too excited over a doe. i only shoot does with muzzleloader not much of a challenge in archery season for me to take does. Best of luck on getting a wall hanger I'll be going out starting Oct 22. Just south of you washington county, PA.

  • @celstarwow you think muzzleloaders are harder than bows? lol

  • @jumpthenoob

Yes Flintlocks true muzzleloader not inlines. I didn't say it was harder. In Pa Flintlock comes in after archey and rifle season, there are a lot less deer and they are spooked by than.

  • good looking doe.

  • Great vid. Good luck this season bro

  • Very nice! Great job on the carema flying solo.

  • grats on the doe

  • Nice job man!

  • If you field dress her there, wont that really attract the bears to that area? I dont have bears in this area, so I dont know much about them. Or, can you also kill a bear with your bow now? Thanks for the video and great shot.

  • @clewi1091 You can kill bears with compound bows yes.

  • @HomeMadeGunNut I meant, I was wondering if it is open season for bear where he is now. I thought a fresh gut pile might attract bears to his area more often, and might ruin the deer hunting. But, if he can legally take a bear with a bow now, then it might not matter if they do come around more.

  • I love it! Kudos for showing your setup, & your practicality. I really like that you don't chase fads & stick with what works for you! I'm 42 & I've told my entire crew about you & your's! I post your new vids on our "G FORCE" FB group page, so everyone can see them. I'm strictly a recurve guy, but I know good stuff when I see it, & "Yall's" vids rock! Hey I also knew exactly what you were doing when ytou let the bow down, to readjust the camera. Great stuff!

  • Nice shot. Was out all week an missed a chance on a 9pt. The rest of the deer I've been seeing here in 3D are very small and almost thin looking. But there's plenty of time left to be up in the stand.

  • Congrats on your Doe! Hope to see a big buck in the near future!

  • Not a fanboy i think all companys are great and will be getting a Bowtech next year to play the field a bit lol But im just amazed at how great they are and how little respect they get!

  • PSE! PSE! PSE! Most underated, overlooked, and IMHO the best bow line in the buisness! PSE bows may not look the the best out there (Getting better) but there quality is tops in the business trust me! Never had one fail me even after a couple rookie dryfires or have heard of any failing anyone to be honest! And there X Force limbs are indestructible as of last year PSE said they diddnt have to replace any limbs due to failure! Now thats quality control!

  • Thanks for explaining that camera arm!

  • Awesome video as always. I am always looking forward to new vids from you all. I'm just over in Ohio so not too far. Keep em coming and good luck this year.

  • Great shot!

    +++++

  • congrats!
