@qqrazy Don't do it. They'll have you wearing leg garters before you graduate. Sure, they'll call them some shit like "shirt stays", but deep down you'll know that you're wearing garters.
The Marines exercise team work, from the beginning to the end. Band of brothers and sisters know simply as the core. they rely on each other.. Once they’re given an order, they carry out that order. There no time for a lot of talk. The Marines execute and they perform. They adapt achieve and over come. They get a plan and they execute. They live up to the legacy, Eagle, Globe, and anchor. The Marines is a way of life. They give it 110% all the time. Honor Courage and Commitment.Semper Fi!!

My gratitude goes out to all the fine men and women who train our Marines. A special thanks to the men who trained my son while he was at Parris Island. Quebec Co. Plt 3052 July 3rd 2008. You took a young boy without a rudder and made a man. I thank you
@twpdyp It is awesome to hear positive comments about the Drill Instructors. My son will be leaving for Parris Island in a few months and with him, my heart and soul. I also trained at Parris Island in 1990, I too, was trained by some of the finest. Thank you to all those that serve!
The Poolee is correct. Drill Instructors arent there to just degrade you and call you shitbags, why would anyone be there if that was the point?. Boot Camp is there just to move you into the Military Lifestyle, and get you adapted to Combat Stress, and teach you Military History, Military Courtesy and the list goes on. The Drill Instructors are the ultimate authority, and the job is serious because they choose who is worthy of the corps, this is not an easy job, even if it looks easy. Semper Fi!
great video. I'm not sure whether or not I want to enlist yet, but all of these videos make me want to more and more, except the ones where the drill instructors tag team you haha.
thats what the marines are about son, gotta hack through it. this is no cakewalk, this is just your right of passage, youll be ok though, As my Senior Drill Instructor said "YOU WILL NOT QUIT AND YOU WONT GIVE UP". OOHRAH!

lol holy crap! The MCMAP instructor at 1:15 was my Senior only 5 months after this was posted. Ty for posting this, loving seeing PI again. Good tribute to the men and women who forge us into what we are. Semper Fi
We don't jump out of any airplanes in recruit training. Our training there focuses on getting acclimated to the Marine Corps culture, getting in tip top shape, become incredibly disiplined, learning the rifle, martial arts, combat water survival and so on.
When you are a recruit, for example on Parris Island, the majority of recruits hate their DI's because they get in their faces and yell, it's not what they are used to. But after (and if) they graduate they will learn to thank their DI's. Semper Fidelis. Hoorah.
DI's are the shit! we hate them while we are going thru training but looking back now, i miss them. they do put their heart out and make badass marines w the exception of some shitbags.
ok i find this to be bullshit, the marines wont let me in because i have a full sleeve tattoo, how retarded is that. ide like to join up, love the marines, but dumb ass rule.
Dude i had to get a portion of my tattoo removed that was a damn 1/4 inch too high on my neck just so i could join to corps. So i feel ya it is bullshit but the corps is trying to clean up its image for some damn reason i don't understand why you would try to clean up the badest mother fuckers in the world though
They want (a clean-cut) "An Officer and a Gentleman" type who can sneak up behind the enemy after charming them at the meet n greet line at a function and slit his throat with a K-Bar and have the finesse not to get blood on his Tux.
the Corps is changing their image....either get them removed or shut the hell up puke....you wanna be in my Marine Corps then you'll follow the rules, if not sign up in one of the other nasty branches!!!!!!!!!!
be proud of him. of what hes doing. he's a great guy. hes teaching all the new marines to become the best ..to make the country a better place. i give a lot of respect towards him.
p.s check out my video i made for my bf. he is currently in bootcamp now.
1:17 to 1:27 KNOWN SIMPLY AS THE PIT, my buddy told me somebody fucked up one day so after pt was done the DIs had the recruits (covered in sweat and mud) roll around in the pit and shove sand in their pants and shirts and ears and had them do another round of pt.....so if ther eis one rule at PI MCRD it's DON'T FUCK UP!
I gotta love the Description... Thanks for making this video. If your husband is still there I may have had a encounter or two,, or three at PI. I just graduated july 1st. from 2nd Batallion Golf Co. It would be a trip if I actually knew him. Great vid by the way

If any of you want to become Marines one day or are already in the DEP, there is a web site for FUTURE MARINES that you all should read.
It has plenty of good honest info about the USMC and you can send your question in to an actual Marine who will answer them.
The link in on my profile page.

any way u guys would know if Marines MUST jumpmout of a plane in Basic
VDSfan1995 2 years ago
We don't jump out of any airplanes in recruit training. Our training there focuses on getting acclimated to the Marine Corps culture, getting in tip top shape, become incredibly disiplined, learning the rifle, martial arts, combat water survival and so on.

When you are a recruit, for example on Parris Island, the majority of recruits hate their DI's because they get in their faces and yell, it's not what they are used to. But after (and if) they graduate they will learn to thank their DI's. Semper Fidelis. Hoorah.

1st phase (yellow flag with platoon #)
break him down physically and mentally
2nd phase(yellow flag with platoon #)
he will learn to work with his platoon as a team
and now is becoming stronger
3rd phase (red flag with platoon #)
starting to feel like a marine and work with the brotherhood of his fellow platoon members
he will change.... becoming a man to a marine
and you will be proud. thank him from a former marine plt 1102 bravo company paris island 1996

ok i find this to be bullshit, the marines wont let me in because i have a full sleeve tattoo, how retarded is that. ide like to join up, love the marines, but dumb ass rule.
MrMattsmolka5 2 years ago
yeah same here dude i hald a half sleeve from wrist to elbow and they denied me too
robbyj890 2 years ago
Dude i had to get a portion of my tattoo removed that was a damn 1/4 inch too high on my neck just so i could join to corps. So i feel ya it is bullshit but the corps is trying to clean up its image for some damn reason i don't understand why you would try to clean up the badest mother fuckers in the world though
JUSTBAUM 2 years ago
The Marines don't want "Inglorious Basterds"
They want (a clean-cut) "An Officer and a Gentleman" type who can sneak up behind the enemy after charming them at the meet n greet line at a function and slit his throat with a K-Bar and have the finesse not to get blood on his Tux.
-Semper-Fidelis .

the Corps is changing their image....either get them removed or shut the hell up puke....you wanna be in my Marine Corps then you'll follow the rules, if not sign up in one of the other nasty branches!!!!!!!!!!
