Blizzard copied Warhammer, Warcraft 3 - they asked if they could make a RTS / MMMORPG series out of the Warhammer / Warhammer 40k Plotlines and got denied, so they created Warcraft / Starcraft, Blizzard just works faster is all.

they arnt the total embodiment of the emperor, the emperor made 21 direct clones of himself which became patriarchs/ half of these clones were immediatly corrupted by the warp, and every space marine is a second hand clone, they were clones of the patriarchs, not directly to the emperor. lol sorry to a nerd, but i just wanted to say lol

@pimpmage1 20 clones, they are called primarchs. They were not immediately corrupted by the warp, rather, they were stolen and placed on various planets. The actual corruption didn't take place for a few decades.
