  • THIS IS SPARTA!!!

  • In soviet Russia the solder removes you.

  • ...the tool he's using around the 1:00 mark is a 'solder sucker' uses a vacuum for solder removal..a bit pricey...but is the best tool, as the shorter you have heat on the copper, the better...too long on there...the copper will come off the P.C. board...

  • @dougspair Yes, have been using a solder sucker since my highschool days. Ain't nothing like em.

  • @bassinbillRC5300 Ok, I did a lot of PC board repair work in the 1970's when it was all 7400 TTL, chips didn't last long back then. Solder suckers cost a few $, but really save the copper with less heat inflicted injuries. This was before micro-processors, so even a tiny computer had 30-40 boards the size of a manila folder. TTL chips ran hot, just the minimum operating current was 30-80 milliamps at 5 volts, per chip, 60-75 chips or more per board. 5 volt power supplies were 75-125+ amps.

  • ...this is funny..they have about 6-8 different guys sitting there for a variety of topics, but all have the same voice dubbed in...

  • You can tell he's reading lines; a holdover from the Cold War era where they read everything from a script....

  • which cleans the most solder ... the wick or the solder vaccum

  • @caulinrocker1 i think the wick sucks , the pumps are good but if you are not carefull you might scratch the pcb

  • American components, Russian Components, ALL MADE IN TAIWAN!

  • @curemymind LMAO where did i already heard that? hmm

    OH! Armageddon!!

    nice one

  • Well simple enough, i just bookmarked this tutorial!

    Thx guys!

  • this guy is staring into my soul

  • Horrible audio, bad tips...

  • @moderndaydelilah93 Buy a soldering iron ($5 to $15 depending on which one you buy) and a solder wick and/or solder sucker, both of which are pretty cheap. Then simply remove the old solder from the connection and make a new solid connection (maybe with a new jack in place, eh?)

  • this is what the voices in my head sound like after too much vodka
