Fuc king yankees. Ever the drama queens. Sorry that your portion of the country sucks so bad and its so cold, and your mom's are so cold...and that effects you. Learn to say 'y'all' and your life will actually be decent.... f-ing yanks.
@oldhamburger As a Michigander, I took the liberty of correcting your poorly constructed sentences. "Sorry that your portion of the country sucks, is very cold, and your mother's are cold as well." And by the way, it actually would "affect" us. Hey everyone, look at the edgy hipster from Arkansas. Cheers from Michigan!
I was born and raised in Michigan, I now live in Oregon, and I've eaten at the Original Pantry in downtown LA on many occasions. There is a definite Michigan accent but I can't say I heard it in the way she pronounced "recording". Oregonians don't really have accents but then again, hardly anyone was born there. They speak like people who have had their accents influenced by a lot of people from other regions. As for the Original Pantry, don't forget your cash. They don't take credit cards.
So did he make a fucking scene? And good luck trying to pin-point to just ONE "Michigan accent". I've lived here my whole life, and I can testify that we have MANY.
@Mrtheben ok, maybe not those four words together like that, but you guys pronounce them the same. Pick any 6 syllable sentence at random and it will probably sound something like that: "and over the river" "are the tigers playing"
@Brettwbeyer14 Don't you hear the extra emphasis on COR as in reCORding? I'm a Californian but have many friends from MI who seem to talk like that...over enunciating caliFORNia , aMERica, TIGErs, by golly doncha KNOW? I'm not a linguist but they seem to position their toungues too deep when speaking..
@Brettwbeyer14 im from michigan myself, so im always going to be biased about the accent. I here what you are talking about, but I don't think that it's that big of a deal. Most other places in the country have more noticable accents. and to be honest people from california have a slight drawl to me when prounouncing certain words. take for example nicholas cage also the the way robert downey jr pronounces hooters hyewtrs. then charlie sheen has a whole nother thing going.just my perspective

i don't hear the accent. she says recording pretty much the way it is spelled probably over enunciates it more than anything.
