  • Everything was better in the 90's. Let's go back.

  • First time i heard this song on the radio i was like "Holy crap it's Eddie Vedder" i couldn't believe i figured that out by the first 2 words he said.

  • Still gives me goosebumps everytime

  • im sorry to everyone that my generation ruined music, at least i caught the 90s tho =)

  • im old to an lonely damn

  • You don't need talent to make "music" now. These guys, (Eddie and Chris) sound better a capella, if you ask me. No instruments necessary to appreciate their raw talent. No digital improvement needed. Check out Chris Cornell's version of Billie Jean or Pretty Noose a capella

  • 90s Nostalgia!

  • Probably my favorite single song of all time.

  • I wouldn't mind being in the bushes with Eddie! Grrr, there's just something about that lion! Nice video quality though! Even though I didn't get to experience that grunge era because I was back in elementary school I wish it could come back, yet, if it does it won't be the same, today's generation isn't the same, so it wouldn't be as cool. I wish I had a time machine and go back to early 90's but be the 25yo I am now.

  • But 1,044 People Have A good Ear For Music

  • 17 People Are Fucking Brain Dead And Just Plain Retarded

  • @Fraustt, So True!

  • I'm a straight dude n all but.. Chris Cornells one sexy beast

  • what a heart breaking tune.a sad reminder of all the people no longer here.the music thats no longer here.there was something in the air back then and i can almost feel it when i listen to this, but, its gone before i can get a hold on it.this is what Yesterday sounds like.a time long ago it seems, yet right at my back,in my shadow.always following me.i guess this is how it feels to grow old.is there some void between young and old,did i have a blackout?when did this happen?i miss the grunge days:(

  • Great song AND kickass video

  • pearl jam for the next superbowl halftime show.. like if you agree

  • @whatthefuwasthat1 they are too good for the super bowl halftime show. let the bullshit artists have that. I really don't think they would do it, anyways.

  • @whatthefuwasthat1

    NOOOOOOOOO.

think back to the last halftime shows

    they were all crappy.

the who comes to mind :/

  • @whatthefuwasthat1 I would love to see an alternative rock "best of" collaboration. That would be a half time worth watching for sure.

  • Don't just like it, love and live it.

  • scfan43 said this song kicks ass. I totally agree because this song kicked my ass again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again

  • the reason i listen to metal of today! cause all this greatness will more than likely never be reinvented :(

  • "Why thank you eddie veeder" haha dewey cox

  • The music of the 1990's will never die. It just gets better as each day passes.

  • This song still rock20years later

  • 17 people are actually quite full, thank you very much.

  • if there so damn hungry why are they on a hunger strike plus if he doesnt mind stealing bread he shouldnt be hungry

  • @lakairocket2 you're misinterpreting the lyrics. It's about a person rallying to "steal bread off a corporate businessman's table" by going on strike. Lose the worker you lose the money. Were he a rich man (overfilled cup) he wouldn't be able to bring himself to suck every bit of worth that he could from another human being (feeding on the powerless) who works for him. So he watches while the others still continue to slave away. They take their pay, but he would rather starve than be one of them

  • to bad rock is dead.

  • I still remember when I found out that both Cornell and Eddie Vedder sings leads to this song....I then liked it tenfold what I did previously

  • thumbs up if chris cornell stole your bread

  • @Tsizzle725 o.O

  • @TheHEMP79 um it sneaks up o all of us bud! get used to it! :)

  • @TheHEMP79 Last Thursday.

  • @Tomakak it was a lot longer ago than that

  • @TheHEMP79 Dude, I feel the same way, but getting old is way better than the alternative!!

  • " i don't want my kid stealing bread"

  • It blows my mind that this was once mainstream. Now look at the shit that is played, where did it all take a wrong turn?

  • Eddie Vedder+Chris Cornell=pure bliss :)

  • if this song doesn't give you goosebumps, you better make sure you still have a pulse

  • mainstream music can suck the big dick of real music. atleast youtube doesnt suggest shitty music on this song.

  • this song is awesome because it has chris cornell in it

  • If this doesn't give you chills......

  • can someone tell me why they show a different version of the video on the pearl jam 20 doc?

  • songs do not get old, people get old

  • this song will never get old...

  • I remember this came out...and I have the VHS of Mother Love Bone...this album was dedicated to Andrew Wood...having the band members and friends of his doing a tribute album is something so great!

  • This is song is the first time Eddie's voice on record

  • @321rebelman No...everyone knew who Eddie Vedder was by the time this song and video came out! Back when MTV actually played Music Television!

  • @susparkles I heard Chris Cornell say it one time

  • Whats funny is at the time this band was 2 from Mother love bone, 2 from Soundgarden, the new singer from Cali Eddie Vedder, and Mike McCready .... NOW this band is (would be) 5 Pearl Jam members and Chris Cornell

  • best "superband" of all time

  • In fact, this song is making my tummy rumble!

  • I don't mind stealing bread. :/

  • Eddie Vedder is fucking awesome.

  • This is true music

  • lol he looked like chewebaka at 2:13 ehheheheehehehehehehh!!!!!!!

  • Man i love this song! the guitar and vocals i will never forget! rock needs to take over this new stuff, like lady gaga, and justin beaver..

  • I saw Chris Cornell perform live for his solo stuff a few years back. At the end of the show Vedder walked on stage. I said to myself NO WAY! NO F*CKING WAY! They definitely ended the show duetting this song, and I cried. <3

  • @Mellycat89 that is pretty epic

  • I can listen to these two voices all day <3 Eddie & Chris love their vocies <3

  • @JohnxBasedow hey stfu u prick, this is better than fucking munford and gay ass sons thank god these guys provided us actual rock instead of the stupid ass shit today. MAN do i hope PJ will come back with vengeance on ur ass

  • @JohnxBasedow then why did you watch the video retard?

  • @JohnxBasedow i actually felt like liking this comment but only because of waaaahmm gooooeeeennnn ungraaaaaaaaayAAAHHAHHHHHHHHY

  • i might get some hate for this comment, but it's obvious these guys influenced creed.

  • @llxzxll no no one will hate you for that comment, that's why they (me too) hate creed, they took no originality. They packed angst-ridden radio friendly songs where they deliberately tried to sound angry and stereo typically "grungy" by mimicking Vedder, and Cornell for success. They were also very disrespectful to their predecessors and other bands, instead of experimenting like PJ, or all or the Big 4 Seattle bands.

  • hey occupy wall streeters- this should be the anthem for those screaming for change in the u.s.

  • So this is what an eargasm feels like, I LOVE IT!

  • makes you want to fuck all the meaningless shit out of your life and do more for others than yourself.

  • Happy Birthday, Eddie Vedder!!! I love this song!!!

  • Great performance!

  • 1:40 There are those dimples ;)

  • Timeless, beautiful, takes me straight back to being 19 again. This song is a time machine.

  • This song sounds immortal

  • Chris and Eddie should make more duets together. They sound amazing!

  • When I listen to Pearl Jam or Temple of the Dog, I get this feeling, I dont know what to call it, but it's amazing. His voice is amazing.. ( I do like soundgarden too though :D)

  • @RAWRxItzReggie I like to call that feeling elation.

  • I like Eddie but Chris is simply the best...and for thos who don't like..you can like this! <3

  • RIP Andrew Wood

  • im keeping this on repeat!

  • when i was a freshmen in college i was angry at the world and totally confused. i went to a small school in virginia. at night i would put this in my walkman and walkman and walk over to the next town and listen to cd thinking about life. this music cleared my head and made me feel like i wasn't as weird as i thought i was. 19 years later i still listen to this when i'm feeling in doubt.

  • @waltlikka i couldnt agree more brother!

  • @waltlikka No offense, but when you were a freshman you should have been mature enough to stop being angry at the world and start thinking about your future. Good song tho.

  • @alesin1992 no offense taken, but you don't know what i went through in my life & have no business telling me how i should have felt. i had a VERY difficult childhood & this cd was therapy. once i got away from home & was in college i had a chance to get perspective & i was VERY ANGRY about a lot of things that happened to me. for the past 20 years i have been teaching & counseling kids who also have very fucked up lives. i was ALWAYS mature & thinking about my future & i decided to HELP kids!

  • @waltlikka I relate to your words totally. This song, No Excuses by Alice In Chains and especially Pearl Jam's album Ten have done a lot for me at the time. But, I must say that from a certain perspective it's a pitty that it was these bands that have meant so much to me in this way, because I can never listen to all that beautiful music without being reminded of the pain. Even 20 years later, these are not all too comfortable listens. Wish you a lighter path ahead, my friend... :)

  • @fourtoeight i sometimes feel that way. just the other night i was listening to "black" by pearl jam and started to cry. i realized that i can go back to the pain and rememeber it, but it doesn't necessarily mean i'm experiencing it now. this is the magic of this music. it evokes feeling. i can't think of anything out now that resonates with me on such a deep level. thank you for your well wishes and i wish the same for you!

  • @waltlikka,

i can relate to what you people talk about. You're pretty far when you say ''but it doesn't necessarily mean i'm experiencing it now''. It's good to realise this pain is in the past and you as a person moved on with such memories!

Stay strong and enjoy the music.

    B

  • @waltlikka This song did much the same for me. A source of inspiration to be sure!
