First time i heard this song on the radio i was like "Holy crap it's Eddie Vedder" i couldn't believe i figured that out by the first 2 words he said.
You don't need talent to make "music" now. These guys, (Eddie and Chris) sound better a capella, if you ask me. No instruments necessary to appreciate their raw talent. No digital improvement needed. Check out Chris Cornell's version of Billie Jean or Pretty Noose a capella
I wouldn't mind being in the bushes with Eddie! Grrr, there's just something about that lion! Nice video quality though! Even though I didn't get to experience that grunge era because I was back in elementary school I wish it could come back, yet, if it does it won't be the same, today's generation isn't the same, so it wouldn't be as cool. I wish I had a time machine and go back to early 90's but be the 25yo I am now.
what a heart breaking tune.a sad reminder of all the people no longer here.the music thats no longer here.there was something in the air back then and i can almost feel it when i listen to this, but, its gone before i can get a hold on it.this is what Yesterday sounds like.a time long ago it seems, yet right at my back,in my shadow.always following me.i guess this is how it feels to grow old.is there some void between young and old,did i have a blackout?when did this happen?i miss the grunge days:(
@whatthefuwasthat1 they are too good for the super bowl halftime show. let the bullshit artists have that. I really don't think they would do it, anyways.
scfan43 said this song kicks ass. I totally agree because this song kicked my ass again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again
@lakairocket2 you're misinterpreting the lyrics. It's about a person rallying to "steal bread off a corporate businessman's table" by going on strike. Lose the worker you lose the money. Were he a rich man (overfilled cup) he wouldn't be able to bring himself to suck every bit of worth that he could from another human being (feeding on the powerless) who works for him. So he watches while the others still continue to slave away. They take their pay, but he would rather starve than be one of them
I remember this came out...and I have the VHS of Mother Love Bone...this album was dedicated to Andrew Wood...having the band members and friends of his doing a tribute album is something so great!
Whats funny is at the time this band was 2 from Mother love bone, 2 from Soundgarden, the new singer from Cali Eddie Vedder, and Mike McCready .... NOW this band is (would be) 5 Pearl Jam members and Chris Cornell
I saw Chris Cornell perform live for his solo stuff a few years back. At the end of the show Vedder walked on stage. I said to myself NO WAY! NO F*CKING WAY! They definitely ended the show duetting this song, and I cried. <3
An actual STARGATE/PORTAL-THING was caught on film in New Mexico. The footage can be found within the short-film entitled "SUDDEN PORTHOLE", which is parked at the PROJECT CAMELOT YouTube page (it's under the George Noory video).

@alesin1992 no offense taken, but you don't know what i went through in my life & have no business telling me how i should have felt. i had a VERY difficult childhood & this cd was therapy. once i got away from home & was in college i had a chance to get perspective & i was VERY ANGRY about a lot of things that happened to me. for the past 20 years i have been teaching & counseling kids who also have very fucked up lives. i was ALWAYS mature & thinking about my future & i decided to HELP kids!
