WP was the favorite band of one of my former students. He's gone now -- memorial service today. I was looking forward to hanging out with him when I retire in two years. I will continue to play WP and think about him.

Have you seen phish live? They put on a more energetic and "audience involved" show. I think wsp is a tighter band than phish, but phish puts on a better show IMHO. I LOVE WSP, ill get down at one of there shows anyday.
WSP has a very strong sound, very very southern. It can be a little to much for some people. I also feel like WSP reminds me of the dead too much. too many jams/songs that put me to sleep, specifically space/drums.

phish is over rated, and there is nothing wrong w/ honky. they are classic and what is the point of talking sh!t about music that is good. there r plenty of other band and singers to rag on.

Have you seen phish live? They put on a more energetic and "audience involved" show. I think wsp is a tighter band than phish, but phish puts on a better show IMHO. I LOVE WSP, ill get down at one of there shows anyday.
WSP has a very strong sound, very very southern. It can be a little to much for some people. I also feel like WSP reminds me of the dead too much. too many jams/songs that put me to sleep, specifically space/drums.

couldn't have said it better. Thats the one thing about Phish's music I don't really care for. Their songwriting is not very good and completely hokey.

Yeah... Widepread seems to have sold out over the years. It's still a good show. Just a lot more frat boys.

yes there are more frat boys but that doesnt effect the music nor does the band have anything to do with that, fratboys are just like any other type of person there are good ones and bad ones

He is playing but he doesnt get much airtime. I suspect they knew he was on the way out when they filmed this. They do show a lot of John Keane in the glasses.
