  • This movie sends an amazing message, but as far as the film's accuracy is concerned, people need to understand that just because a film is "based" on a true story does not make it a legitimate historical document. This film is a primary source that reflects American culture at the time of its release, but it has no more historical validity than that. Hollywood is about making money and giving people what they'll to pay to see, even if that means sacrificing the true nature of historical events.

  • @darkseer100 hurricane had been arrested for numerous violent crimes, the fight he won in the movie he lost phonomonoly in real life, he failed a lie detector test and many of his witnesses even said latter in life that they lied t for him, infact the da and polive had enoigh evidence to convict him twice but the judge threw out the case and let a killer free because of procedural error in the prosectors part, yeah dude the justice system is totally run by the clan.

  • @xiaochennick It tells ne that hollywood will lie off it's ass to make a profit :D

  • spoiler!!!!!!!

  • LiNk foR fRee fuLL DowNLoaD pLease

  • So false. So many of the events and facts in this movie are so incorrectly presented. This is some real trash.

  • Absolutely awesome movie

  • My goodness this movie was amazing

  • ....true story.

  • he came to my school and spoke today :D

  • Great acting performance Denzel.

  • fuck the police and the jugde and shit like that they put him in jail for nothing...

  • one of the best movies ever made, it doesn't need to be entertaining all the time either, because thr whole movie is based on true, and that makes the movie more interesting, it's worth watching!!

  • by watching that trailer you have just pretty much seen the film

  • watched it in class today, i actually liked it :)

  • mister washington is the best male actor there is ........

  • booi tsfu u soud retarded nd races i shoud report your stupid self

  • I don't know whether he was innocent myself but that little fat black kid in the movie was a dumbass. He just blindly accepted Carter was innocent without any knowledge of the case.

  • @toby099 you sound retarded and races with your stupid self he believed and was right u races peice of crud loser stfu

  • @toby099 WTF?!? did you even see the movie?

  • @toby099 lol this is a trailer, it briefly explains what the movies about. thats the purpose of a trailer. try watching the movie before you open up your mouth.

  • People! Just google it properly before making statements. There was so much evidence, that only unprofessional work by some of detectives (who probably decided not to even bother at the time as it was just obvious) later allowed decision to be changed. It has nothing to do with race, the guy was a criminal with he history. Committed many crimes before and even bragged about publicly and in the media. Especially about guns and shooting. Good movie anyway

  • I never cry in movies...I cried in this

  • @Umustbemistaken That detective was a fictional character.. Carter's military experience consisted of him being court-marshalled 4 times and kicked out in about 2 yrs for not being fit for service..

  • @JvPaVp The witnesses Ran into Artis and Carter running out of the bar. The was matching bullet casings found in his car that was racing out of town with him in the back seat hiding. Both juries that convicted him had black jurors. They even offered to free him if he passed a lie detector test and he refused! He was only freed due to a technical procedure flaw. He even beat up a lady who was trying to help him get out of jail. Well known thug in paterson back in the day..

  • Hate put me in prison love's gonna bust me out. Classic

  • Paterson NJ represented, my hometown

  • anyone know the name of the song in this movie??

  • @onetouchonekiss So Amazing by Clark Anderson

  • @mismelly999 oh thank you so much :)

  • @onetouchonekiss You are so welcome!

  • @onetouchonekiss theres another song. its called hurricane- Bob dylan.. its an amazing song. check it out

  • @jeanbaptisteca oh really?lol wow thx ;)

  • omg i love this movie so much but i hate the cop

  • fuck that white cop........i hope his whole family get locked up for 20 years..

  • That kids a lawyer now and he lives in

    Kamloops,Britsh columbia, Canada.

    I've met him The film's wrong He's a Fucking

    Asshole!!!!

  • @Scoti45

I am interested to know why you think he's an ahole. I am doing research on this story, and plan to submit a paper to the university on this matter and input any would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • @4fingersinge I liked the movie when I saw it.. Upon further research and actually talking to several people that knew Carter.. Today, I think he really did it and was guilty as hell.

  • @elchicho25

Ok, I can understand that, but what evidence or imformation do you know that makes you feel he is quilty.

  • @elchicho25 He was a well know thug back in the day.. assaulted and robbed poeple, got kicked out of the army, he was hiding in the back of a matching car racing out of town the night of the murders..matching bullet casings were found in the car, his friend eddie's step dad was just shot by a white guy a few hours earlier that night.. and they were originally together during the 1st stop..

  • @elchicho25 ur right man

  • In the UK a LIFE SENTENCE is 15 years and you can get out out early for good behaviour if you play your cards right......

so in my humble opinion guilty or innocent he did his time and he is a truly amazing and inspiring human being who still shows so much love to a world which originally answered with hate

  • Denzel Washington looks so much like the real Carter It's scary.

  • one of the best movies made

  • I guess this move at least tells me one thing, that the Canadians are just way better than Americans.

  • @xiaochennick hell yeah, Son!

  • @xiaochennick Yup, cause there's no corruption, abuse of power, or wrongful convictions in Canada.

...that is, if you dont count the Human Rights Commission - Syed Sahawardy and Ezra Levant, along with 50 other cases of abuse of innocents.

  • ESTA VERSION DE 1999 EN USA ES LO MISMO DE PRESUNTO CULPABLE PRODUCIDA EN MEXICO.

LA JUSTICIA ES INJUSTA,....ESPERAR TENER PACIENCIA Y CREER EN DIOS.

  • This movie was a load of horseshit. The facts were completely skewed.

  • Amazing movie, danzel is the best.

  • whats with the shawshank redemption soundtrack

  • I'll never know if he is guilty or innocent, but Danzel Washington is awesome,!!!!!!

  • The most liberal movie ever made.

  • "It is very important to transcend to places that hold us".

  • Amazing film!

  • My grandfather knew Reuben when he came to Louis Levine and Son's clothing store in Paterson Nj. He knew him personally because this was one of the best clothing store's in Paterson at the time that many people shopped at for good quality. At the time my Grandfather thought he was guilty, because at the time people believed the government. I can't blame Carter for living in Canada today, and I bet you couldn't bring him back to Paterson if you payed him a million bucks.

  • I swear i heard some of the trailer music in the 'Shawshank Redemption'.

  • Bob Dylan has a lot to answer for.

  • this movie is amasing!!

  • brilliant movie

  • This was a good movie, and as expected Denzel gave an Oscar-worthy performance. That being said, I recently read that much of the film was fabricated. For instance, in the film Carter is imprisoned at the height of his boxing career whereas in real life his career was already on a downward slide by the time he was falsely imprisoned. I guess if you can not allow the facts to interfere there should be no problem watching it.

  • Is it a coinsidence that this film and shawshank both share so many themes and are both amazing?

    Theme tune the same

    Both men imprisoned wrongly

Both get out after 19-20 years

Both feature a man who breaks the system.

  • @MrMushroom33 Yeah, but this is based of a real story

  • @Mikster35 The inspiration for shawshank came from several true stories also.'

  • @MrMushroom33 You said that wrong. The inspiration from true stories came for Shawshank, but it wasn't true

  • @Mikster35 Umm. Penis?

  • @MrMushroom33 bah ha ha ha ha

  • @Mikster35 Glad we've reached a compromise.

  • @MrMushroom33 sure

  • @Mikster35 I heard recently that is was a false story he actually did it.

  • @MegaIrishWarrior No can really know if he did kill those people. But this movie is incredibly fallacious and misleading. There was quite a bit amount of evidence against him that movie either doesn't mention or flat out changed.

Either way, this is a great movie and the true story of Les is wonderful. After I watched this movie, my roommate said "If someone said Denzel Washington is the best actor alive...I wouldn't disagree". I'm echoing that sentiment.

  • Hate is terrible, unfortunately most people seem to hate these days. Well after years of being hated on, I decided it was time to stand up against them.

  • words can't express how brilliant denzel is

  • HOW ON EARTH DID DENZEL WASHINGTON NOT WIN THE BEST ACTOR OSCAR FOR THIS FLAWLESS PEFORMANCE IT BEATS ME

  • Boxing movies always get to me this one is so good !!

  • Everyone is equal in the inevitability of death.

  • @dermocoolioo Not when science stops that!

  • i remember me watching this movie when i was verry young, i couldnt finish watching becous i had to go to sleep becous of my mother -.-

didnt now it was huricane :"P

  • Awesome line at the end. This looks great and I'm going to watch it now

  • goosebumps

  • The person denzel washington played rubin carter (aka the hurricane) spoke at my high school he was a great speaker and funny. The movie does a great job telling his story.

  • Comment removed

  • white people where fucking bad barbarians in the old days. The aborigenals had to leave the africans the indians.

  • best movie ever, with monte cristo... and the 7 bitches that voted thumb down, go and suck some cock you bitches...

  • My dad used to fix typewriters when he was younger. He told me that he had the opportunity & privilege to go into jail and fix Rubin Carter's typewriter and talk to him. He said he hadn't met a more profound man in his life.

  • @KeyoBlood

    what a lie. :)

  • @KeyoBlood i believe you, thats awesome

  • "hate put me in prison ... love's gonna bust me out"

  • This movie made me cry like a baby :(

  • Great movie.

Kinda pissed me off when I found out that most of it was made up though.

  • @seblasian otherwise it would be a documentary , i guess .

  • Sure he might be "not guilty" but there is no evidence that proves his innocence.

  • @darrylsh thats not how it woks, innocent UNTIL proven guilty.

  • @moh490234890238490 No shit, your a fucking sherlock holmes aren't you!

  • @darrylsh oh such a great come back..... (sarcasum)

  • @laughingatyourself29 I don't need a comeback. Justice was served minus the death penalty lol....

  • @moh490234890238490 werent you the fucker who said not guilty dosent mean innocent.

  • @darrylsh YOUR A SAD HUK

  • @thoostorm4 If you were to read the facts in the case you would see that there is more evidence pointing to his guilt than to his innocence.

  • @darrylsh

That's why he spent most of his lifetime in jail. Doesnt mean that those facts were correct. That's why that in a 3rd sentence in a federal court, the NEW evidences prove he was not guilty.

  • @uraniumcyrus There was no new evidence! The federal court threw the case out because it was tainted. Before Carter went to jail he was a scumbag so it stands to reason that even though he is an oldman he still is one. He was never able to prove he was innocent, the prosicution just couldn't prove him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Looks like a duck, walks like a duck, probably a duck.

  • @uraniumcyrus No NEW evidence. They released him due to the it was no longer worth prosecuting.Actually the evidence proving him Guilty was Overwhelming. They found him in a car racing out of town the 1st time. Then was found in diff clothes hiding in the back of the car racing out of town on the 2nd stop. The casings matching the shots fired were found in his car! Aside from that he was a thug who assaulted black and white people.. I grew up in Ptown and know some of his old friends. They agree.

  • @darrylsh Thats true. He even BEAT UP a lady who was part of the activists trying to HELP him be freed!

  • @darrylsh oh you moron did you really just say that? in the US government, you are innocent until proven gulity

  • you sound like a fanatic

  • this trailer is the whole movie. seriously

  • @thedeathskittle most trailers are

  • vicellous is my friend

  • This movie made me cry...

  • @Phoebe4513

This trailer just made me cry

  • this movie got me into Bob Dylan, great song and great movie. Love Mr. Washington.

  • Awsome movie! Amazing story! One of the best movies I saw.

  • Love this! Any two niggers will do? Denzel is the best!

  • To anyone who thinks he is guilty, what MOTIVE would the world champ have. To go and kill a bunch of people? since when do athletes commit such crimes?

  • @bungmuffin football players break the law all the time..

  • @cmonalready66 yeah but they dont go and murder a bunch of ppl, they take drugs, harass women, get into fights but murder is unlikely

  • @bungmuffin Pac-Man, Ray Lewis, O.J Simpson, Dante Stallworth, Rae Carruth, Hubert Thompson, Tommy Kane..... and wwwwway more murders to count that NFL players have been involved in.. So yes.. NFL players do murder.. and murder more than likely.

  • @bungmuffin your an idiot mate he wasnt world champion, an atheletes are just normal people who excel physically and therefore just a cross-section of society, it makes sense that some are criminals and even murderers

  • @bungmuffin I agree with you, i have no idea what motive he would have had. that being said, athletes do kill

  • @bungmuffin A white guy shot Artis & Carter's friend's step father at a bar a few hours earlier.

  • Hate Put Me In Prison... Loves Gonna Bust Me Out

  • "You assumed .... WRONG!"

    Love this scene!

    Great Denzel movie!

  • @celeboria

Yeah it's a terrific work of fiction the facts are that Ruben Carter was a crazy psycho nigger from the age of 8 and never did anything but hurt everyone around him. His guilt was never in question, he killed all those people.

    Asshole motion picture.

  • @TheJomogogo

Oh I'm sorry. I was unaware you were at the scene of the crime. Maybe you should have testified?

  • @MichaelBallack91

Dude google it for yourself the testimony/court records/etc are available even a nigger loving queer like you should be able to see the truth.

The movie was a complete work of fiction. NOTHING in it was true.

    Got it?

  • @TheJomogogo

I have researched into it, and I saw that Bello and Bradley both lied in their testimonies, and were basically bribed by the cops to lie. Racism at it's finest. Much like what you're doing right now.

  • @MichaelBallack91

No you haven't, because that's not true.

You read some niggered up bullshit.

  • @TheJomogogo

"Transcripts of the interrogation of Bello and Bradley would later reveal that the two were offered assistance in their other criminal cases in return for their help with the Carter case."...TIME magazine...can't get any more white than that. If you're looking for a way to enter racial slurs into a sentence, that's almost pathetic. That's not even a fucking word haha. What do you hate about black people so much? I don't even care, but maybe you should analyze it yourself.

  • @MichaelBallack91

"offered assistance for help in other cases" doesn't mean shit, nowhere does it say they committed pejury you fuckwit.

  • @TheJomogogo

LOL. I'm sorry if you can't read between the lines. Keep holding on to your theory. , He was let out after 20 years. That's 20 years an innocent man did in prison. His whole career robbed of him, because of some racist fucks like yourself.

PS. Learn to fucking spell perjury before you call someone ELSE a "fuckwit" lol.

  • @MichaelBallack91 Nobody said he was innocent, you dumb shit! T.e.c.h.n.i.c.a.l.l.i.t.i.e.s.

  • @bodhitaichi

I just said he was innocent! Once again it's fucking technicalities there's not two l's, I'm done think what you want, only he and God know the truth. Go ahead get the last word, because I won't be responding anymore.

  • @MichaelBallack91 I totally agree with you. K, listen up people: This is a TRUE story about a real man, who is 100% innocent. There is plenty of evidence for his innocence. He was a victim of racism, not a murderer.

  • @Phoebe4513 Nah, he's GUILTY. I thought he was a victim of racism and 100% innocent when I saw this movie too. After some research WOW, dude was BEYOND guilty!

  • @TheJomogogo oh you fucking moron, ahahahha he just toally schooled you. Whiped your fucking racist ass. You are completely wrong. There was definately evidence that proved him innocent. and was not a phyco. he was not perfect, no one is, but he did not deserve to go to jail for something he didn't commit. It's just facts. They lied on the stand. and your a racist, which means your dillusional. I don't know if you've noticed, but the president is black!

  • @laughingatyourself29

    What would that evidence be?

Just google Carter and look up the case yourself queer.

  • @TheJomogogo no confessions, DNA, fingerprints, etc. were found. innocent until proven guilty

  • @laughingatyourself29

    He was found guilty twice.

  • @TheJomogogo by a racist jury. He was a victim of racial prejudice. that is not evidence. check and mate

  • @laughingatyourself29

There were blacks on both juries.

    Don't believe everything you read.

He was identified by 3 people as the shooter, he was caught hiding on the floor of the getaway car with the murder weapon. He has a lifelong history of violent behaviour , assaulting people from the age of 10, almost killing a man when he was 14 because he wanted his watch. (By his own goddamn admission)

    You are an asshole.

  • @TheJomogogo it is funny how you are tellign someone not to believe everything they read yet you do. read up on some american history and realize what was the black man fate then. i'm not sure what to believe but i do know that black men where often put in jail even whe they where innocent

  • @mjjcng8958

It's even funnier how every time a negro with a LIFELONG history of commiting VIOLENT crimes and assaulting people finally gets caught for murder and all the negroes claim his coviction was because of racism and try to make a hero out of him.

  • @TheJomogogo first of all we dont live in the jim crow days anymore so "negroe" is no longer used to refer to blacks. abd this "negroe" did say i didnt know what to beleive. but i was refering to the fact that evidence could have been fabricated and witness' told what to say. you jut dont know b/c government and police where very foul and corrupt in america

  • Denzel Washington is a legend.

  • the movie and the song dont tell the real truth. both are fiction.

  • i relly liked when he say'd ' ANY 2 WILL DO ' he is da best no question about dat !!

  • this movie is beutiful i abosuletly love it, it made cry i wana watch it again hunbdred percent!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i met Lezra today ( guy who plays a lawyer), he lives in my neighborhood. he's a super nice guy.

  • One of my favourite movies.

  • such an impowering movie & clearly points out that the system has failed forever & can not be reasoned with!!!!!!!!!! TAKE THE POWER BACK ALL MEANS NECESSARY.. RIP democracy

  • RACIST!!!

  • loved the movie !!!

  • One of the best movie I never seen! Wow

  • that ass hole was guilty big time

  • he should've won for this and john q now that was good acting

  • what is the spanish song from the beginning????? really need to knoooooow

  • This was Denzel Washington's "Raging Bull" and his performance in this film is one of the best in movie history. He should've won the oscar for best actor, not fucking Kevin Spacey. I heard the film's inaccuracies is the reason he lost the oscar so it's the screenwriters' fault, fucking cunt. He should've won for Malcolm X, Cry Freedom, Philadelphia, and Man On Fire as well.

  • @DCAUFan lol i agree. but tbf the inaccuracies in this film are kind of stupid, the guy was unfairly treated and wrongly convicted - agreed; but he was still a thug, a thief and a mugger; and his bad side isn't really shown in this film.
