It's good that teenage girls don't require their parent's permission, it has probably saved a vast number of girls 'running away from home', or worse attempting/committing suicide. Let's face it this is not an ideal world and not everyone comes from a family like 'the Waltons'.

None of them have mentioned the fact that most of these pregnancies are alcohol related. There is a HUGE problem with binge drinking in the U.K. and most unwanted conceptions occur after a night out on the booze. Tackle the drinking culture of 'boozy Britain' and the number of unwanted pregnancies would plummet.

A gynaecologist where I worked would only perform a woman's 2nd 'VTOP' (vaginal termination of pregnancy) if she consented to having an I.U.D. inserted at the same time. My G.P. refuses to refer patients for them but he'll advise which of his partners will. When I worked on a gynae ward I saw the same 19 year old girl come in for her 8th VTOP (2 of them 11 weeks apart) she'd NEVER had a boyfriend & looked like Ann Widdecombe, she also flirted outrageously with the porter en route to surgery!

this was inevitable when sex was separated from procreation/reproduction.Where we went wrong was this contraception mentality, if the contraception goes wrong,we.ll kill the unborn baby.

Great how LW have a fun to watch show, but also tackle some of the harder and more serious questions facing society today. Well done panel, and also the producers for not shying away from such topics.
