You ruined this rendition with your stupid fucking echo overlay... Next time just let the voices speak for themselves rather than being an idiot and making two of the greatest singer sound like they are singing into a fucking tin can...
WOW two mega singers doing a bang up job of a song I never really liked but if I was in the audience listening to this I would have been very emotional.....this makes me shiver......LOVE it......
@Veggieman87 (SMILE)...believe it or not i saw the RZA eating dinner with Mr. pavorotti when i was on a visit in germany 2 yrs ago. i even have a picture of the three of us together with both of their autographs on a u.s 100 dollar bill.
How on Earth can someone compare Pavarotti or any opera singer with a popular singer. Besides, in this song Pavarotti is singing like a baritone and it doesn't sound right. But then again, popular music is not meant to be performed by opera singers, and arias are not meant to be performed by popular singers... period. I don't see Robert Plant singing Nessum Dorma and I certainly don't see Domingo singing Stairway to Heaven. So cut the crap, all of you. Really.
I agree, blockra55. The best singers of the 20th century: Sinatra (particularily when he was very young) and Pavarotti. I love good music, whether it's pop, classical, jazz, classic rock and roll, and grand opera. Sigh... all good stuff!!
I still can't believe Pavarotti is gone, even almost three years after he passed away. :( I miss him very much. This song was very appropriate for the day he died.
Pavarotti is one of the best opera singers of all time - but one of the 2 best singers of the 20th century? Hell no. How many people do you see listening to him? Don't you find Sinatra's voice so much better for this song than his even though his lungs aren't nearly as impressive? Can you imagine Pavoratti singing something like Hey Jude? It would be awful. Opera is a completely different animal from the type of singing that most people enjoy, and should be considered separate.
Just to be clear, I agree with you, but I don't even think of Pavarotti as one of the best opera singers of all time. He just got famous by singing cross-over songs (like this one or like "Con Te Partire"), singing some songs that give easy goosebumps. Qualitatively and emotionally, there are far better opera singers (even still today).
I also don't believe that the number of people listening to a singer, measures how good that singer really is.
@milenecthefirst agreed. If that were a deciding factor, then Hannah Montana and Vanilla Ice are two of the greatest singers of all time :p
His fame was the same reason Robbie Williams and Richard Cheese are famous (Richard especially being an asshole and acting as if he worked hard on said songs with his DMCA filing and lawsuit threats) They used other peoples songs that were already good, and rode that songs coattails to fame. He isnt bad mind you, he just is not that good either.
Essa foi a melhor gravação para My Way. Interpretação impecável do Sinatra (gênio) e Pavarotti (fantástico). Sensacional, pena que o som ficou com um pouco de eco. Mas não tira o brilho dessa regravação. Parabéns!

he is sure he will go to paradise and talk to Frank, Luciano, Santa, Peter Pan, Mary Poppins and maybe to Santa pedoMikaela surrounded by cherubs ( with 4 inches pink things ) !!
Block....You are so, so right.....I am an Idiot...and I can attest to the fact that they sure are the best....and on a serious note....I sure as hell miss these two guys.....RIP Frank and Luciano
Two Great Singers there is no doubt about that. But there are many others too, dont forget that. There is no Best, here today, gone tomorrow. If I had the money, I'd be gone tonight ;-).
@blockra55 sinatra belonged to the 1990's section, also along with pavarotti. he was not acknowledged in 2000-present, because he passed away in 1998. Pavarotti, on the other hand, passed away in 2007, so he is the one acknowledged in the 20th century.
@blockra55 you're wrong. They are among the betters, yes. you can say some are better, while there were so many great artists... Louis Armstrong, Amália Rodrigues, Beetles, and many others that i haven't still heard...
Fantastic! Mr. Sinatra's timing and phrasing is,as always, impeccable; Sr. Pavarotti's voice absolutely divine. I like the sentiments of the lyrics which suggest mistakes regretted, obstacles overcome and I suppose when looking back, most of us would say 'I did it My Way'.
what's the name of that song with this rythm(i hope you'll uderstand):tana...nananana.........nanana.....nananana........na..na..na..na..na..na...nana....nana...nanana
the lyrics sound like:aaaaavvveeeeeeeeeee,mmmmmmmaaaaariiiiiiiiiiiaaaaaaaa
@carlyle101 Imagine he and Sinatra are singing with God now........ Therefore, if you want to hear them again, you need to die !! But what if they are not there where you go!??
I think you have some problem with the world, go sell your a**.. they're immortal!!! God blessed them with their talents.. and he's still blessing them..
i'm sorry, i forget my comment as it's been so flagged. if it had to do with pavorotten being chewed slowly in one of satan's mouths for singing 'my way' a tired and blatant rip off of french smaltz...no forget it, i see his hell as singing 'my way' to thunderous applause by the likes of you for all eternity. he may have been a protege of youth but he was in larry sander's words: 'a talentless fat fuck' by the end who dragged carreras down with him into his hole. boo. for the
sinatra was too old for this, sounded shocking.
