That happened to me once when i was a kid. I was shopping for stuff and my dad made me try on a hat. I actually forgot to take it off and when we left like 15 mins later, i was accused of theft. The woman who saw us helped us out in proving my innocence. I from this i personally think lindsey lohan really try to steal the jewlry.

She looks as though she just forgot to take it off. But does anyone know when the store notified the police? Was it a few mins after she left? Or was it end of day? The following day? Was it ample time for her to return it? Coz she might have just forgotten it was on her but once she noticed she should have returned it asap. Or asked someone to return it for her. She might have thought that "haha, look I still have it on and no one noticed it" and thought she could keep it. :-(

In my case, sometimes being so confident at the store while trying anything on, there were a time where i forgot to take the new shoes off, later when i was out, i realized that i left my old shoes in the store and had the new one on. I simply went there again and apologized to the store owner and paid for the new shoes.

I almost walked out of a store wearing a rose gold necklace cuz I forgot I put it on. It can happen to anyone. She is famous though, so she is under a microscope and people automatically like to think the worst, cuz they are bored with their own lives so they need a juicy story. And also, what about the sales associate? Why didn't they say "Ms. Lohan, you must have forgot about the necklace you put on" or "would you like to me charge that to your account?"
