Hey people I have a question. I been trying to lose a few pounds and build muscle at the same time. What I been doing was workouts for the triceps, biceps, AND chest. I did all these everyday. My cousin who is a trainer for the Houston Texans, that if I workout on different parts everyday my body will show better and quicker results. Is this true? And I hit a plateau btw and I don't know what to do. Thanks!
@kre7708 um no, i doubt he was in the millitary, see thats the best way to stand beacuse it is good for your muscles and your back and sholders, he probably knows this
@SuperEazy12 very fast. my dad's old boss (for Merilat, a cabinet company, this was all in sales and such) is an ex-wrestler, and he said you HAD to keep working out or within a month or so it all goes to fat.
@mcxznbv Muscle does not turn into fat or vice versa. The only thing that might happen is that your muscles shrink, become less pumped and you keep eating a diet with excess calories. This will obviously result in more fat on your chest
Hey man, I wanted to thank you for putting the time together to make these vids. They really help me out and no doubt countless others. I am in your debt man. Cheers.
I do 45 mins of sit ups, weght lifting and bench pressess in the morning and after noon and i have to say i hav noticed a big diference my chest is alot bigger and firmer in just 2 days thanks guys!
Its true, dont start working out till atleast 15 cause it will stop your growth at that age you should be safe, i started working out when i was 13 and only grew to be 5'7 at the end of highschool.
lol guys i started buffing myself since 14 and my biceps now are totally insane and also my chest had puffed (before it was man boobs) i just made some 50 pushups a day pull ups and dumbells and most of all 1 hand push ups.......but abs are so hard to improve :P
bakerskate10 your a dumbass, Weight training does not stop growth, Arnold lifted since he was 15, So your saying he was 6'3" when he was 15? Just stop being an idiot and stop giving advice.
@zorakitaraki very good question dude. no its not suggested or recomended that you lift at the age of 15 or younger. at your age your joints and other mscle tissues are still forming, you dont want to damage them. so give it a year or two man. for better reasons ask your health/gym teacher at school or a physician.
ok everytime i do a chest exercise...i only feel it in my triceps or shoulders...its weird...i can really feel any burn in my chest anymore....please help
@Nutbuster360 It's because your arms are supporting the majority of the weight. After the first few heavy chest workouts you're not going to feel that soreness you did after your workouts like you did the first few times. Lifting is still taking a toll on your chest, so with a lot of good protein in your diet, you'll gradually notice an improvement in your chest size and strength.
@Nutbuster360 You'll see better results in all of your muscles depending on what you work. And yes, make sure to get plenty of protein first thing in the morning and directly after your workouts.
@Roidsxrxus .....awesome so is protein shakes fine after a workout? or protein bars? and should i have protein with every meal? cuz i have 6-8 meals a day
@Nutbuster360 Protein shakes are good for after a workout...Mix half casein protein and half whey protein together in a shake..They whey will be absorbes quick and then the casein will be absorbed slow to keep feeding you rmuscles for hours
im sick of being short, ppl think im a piece of shit walking down the street..im 22 and im 5 foot 5 inches : ( when i was little my doctor said ill grow 2 b 6 feet tall well fuck him.. im just getting huge and learning karate, then let someone try n fuck wit me. ill go bruce lee on their ass.. now i just gotta get sum dumbells and a bench and ill do this exercise every day 4 a year and when im 23 im gonna go kick someones ass...
@0217capone bro, if you walk down the street and people think your a piece of shit...well, you are probably walking down the wrong street... violence is not cool, or smart. Train for fitness, because at the end of the day violence is just for people that are fucking stupid... (plus, no matter how ripped you are, it only takes 1 punk to stab you and your fucked)
this is gunna sound weird but, ive been working out in the gym for about 2 weeks now and i go every other day, my pec muscles seem to have dissapeared and turned to fat, i dont get at all what has happened, can anyone help ?
Good video! Proper form thank you for that! I was curious I like to start out light (85lbs 12 reps) and go up in weight (95lbs 10 reps) and 105lbs 6 reps). Is it better to do it this way or start heavy and go lighter? And also is it smart to do flys after doing dumbell press or is it to much for the chest? I was hurting for a week after doin dumbell flys after press. Ouch. Thank you
so to follow up, bench and bench hard, do the buckeye routine and throw in some different angles along with tricep workouts to really blow it up, dont listen to wusses like this guy who are whining about achs and pains when theyre in their 20s early 30s, guys like this just make me laugh because they could be so much bigger if they knew how to work a proper bench routine, even the pros bench at least once a week, train hard everyone ;)
Guys who complain about rotor cuff problems at his age are wusses, the bench press is the #1 best way to get a bigger chest. if your shoulders hurt then your doing it wrong, 75% of the world doesnt know how to do a bench press properly. The only time its unavoidable is when you start benching in the 500+ range but in reality the larger portion of the population cant get there just because of genetics.
Is it really necessary to go to the point of "sore" to build mass?
I'm inclined to believe this is untrue and somewhat counter productive since it's caused by the scar tissue that forms that then needs broken down and replaced with new, healthy tissue.
This means your body is working harder to produce new tissue than it does if you're gradually building it on without the aches and pain. Just my 2 cents but maybe the gain from pain is faster?
@JonDeth It depends. If the muscle is being ripped, then no. If it's sore, but not to the point of too much pain, then it means you did good--at least, to my knowledge.
@Ryokenai I started suspecting I don't often get any level of soreness due to the machine I use, Weider Total Body Works. Basically a better version of a Total Gym and with bungees you can strap to the board for added resistance.
Every repetition stretches you out while simultaneously working the muscle. I'm rarely ever sore but see consistent gains.
In fact, you can do equal weight but 10 times the sets of free weights and not get sore.
he only used those weights to show of, and it made the demonstration pretty shit because they were to heavy and his arm and wrist was moving in the direction of the weights
My work out right now is i take a 45 lbs bench bar and i try to do martial arts moves with it lol. I may look like an idiot doing it (thats why i do it at 4:00 every morning), and it may be dangerous, but you get the best arm, pec, and even core workout you can imagine.
he knows what he is talking about however you donot arch your back out!??! try it keeping your back flat against the bench garantee its harder and much better for you speshially as it dosent put as much pressure on your scapular (shoulderblades)
@Bethzaida1022 You need proteins proportional to your body weight at least a couple of times a day on the days you do your weights (I tend to find doing the weights in between meals which concentrate on proteins is the way to go), and just make sure you get decent carbs when you do your cardio and ab workouts (crunches, legraises, whatever). It's fairly self-explanatory but it's important to give your body the protein so you can get the benefits of your training in your recovery.
One thing I don't understand is people say to increase your weight from set to set but also state even the 1st set you should be fighting for the 15th. They also say you should do your sets with minimal rest periods. If I do one, I can't do the other haha. In other words, if I do a muscle failure 1st set, then a 30 second rest, I am lucky to do 1/2 the reps the next set with the same weight, forget about being able to increase the weight. Can someone set the record straight? Thanks!
@Danbo342 rest longer mate, i have the same prolem, rest for 1 min, or do 4 weeks of 4 sets of 5 reps to fail then 4 weeks of 10-12 reps, this will gain strength in the first 4 weeks then more shape and size in the next 4 weeks.
@106xsi16v Thanks for the clarification. I think the thing that keeps me from sticking to any routines is the constant questioning of which way's are correct and as long as there are doubts makes me loose interest since I'm always wondering if I'm doing it wrong. There are so many differences out there that make all of the methods questionable to some extent. One very popular site says if you rest more than 30 seconds you are wrong ,,, so contradictory.
i think its stupid for people to have quote "diets". have a healthy lifestyle is just eating the things humans are meant to eat anddoing the things humans are meant to do.
like it. im working on building pecs. what ive been doing is laying down on my back, and stretching both arms out, making a T. im taking dumbells in both hands, and hen moving my arms up, so the bells touch right over the center of my chest. i do 2 reps, with 60 "ups" in each. im not advertising, im just seeking advice. does anyone do this?
My pecs are unbalanced it soo annoying!, will they balance themselves out or will i need to do a different workout? i know its probably just my genetics but please help its getting noticeable i think.
@yeahbouy1 AHAHHAA ur a fucking loser. What kind of comeback is that. Ur stupidity is taxing. My mom is a MILF?? WTF U assclown. Ur cleary a child. Because: 1. You've never worked out and don't know that the man is wearing a compressed shirt. 2. U result to unsults directed at my mother.
Im gonna stop you right there. I did not "unsult" your mother once, Im pretty sure i complemented her, especially her appearance. And child? Thats pretty damn low, Just makes me wanna fuck your mum THAT much more. Sorry Bro, had to be said
Ive been working out my right side of my chest for about a month now lol cuz like a couple of other people one got worked out more than the other, fucking pain in the ass tryin to do a bunch of different work outs to target my chest. if i do this same exercise with just my right pec will i still get the same work out or wat?

@athlete117 for fat burning, don't overdo the sugary carbs, though. You don't need them for your cardio.

I have wierd Pecs.
The bottom half have muscle, but the top half dont really. Is it because i haven't got enough Muscle up there?
If so, what can i improve on?
