dont really need to highlight him one second before he catches a football... we already know its going to be that guy that the football is heading towards.
Why? Prater had to redshirt this year because he was hurt, so now he has 4 years of eligibility left to go to 3 bowl games and that's if USC's appeal doesn't go through. If it does the ban gets reduced and he will not have missed anything because he had would've had to redshirt anyways.
That's interesting considering the fact Prater dominated the camp circuits in Florida and at the US Army All-American game against the top recruits from both states. To think he routinely outplayed guys like Matt Elam, Christian Green, Jaylen Watkins, and Lamarcus Joyner some of the best defensive backs in Florida and yet he wouldn't "wreck" playing high school football in that state. Makes you thinks...
@mikerobinsonn: Just heard!!! Usc still would prob have a shot, but looks like ND and Illinois will be two of, if not the two prime leaders for his services. It'll be interesting with other usc prospects as well.
Yeah go Illinois! good to know how unbelievable even our home state athletes are that even when seeing that illinois is a good program he would rather go be a fourth string wideout at a mockery of a program in USC exactly why college football is a piece of shit and while the small program has no chance at winning because of the BCS bullshit the strong programs like texas, usc and others just keep getting money and players i hope they sanction USC for the whole Bush saga thing.
He never decommitted, instead of enrolling early, he took a step back because he was shocked and disappointed by the news of Carroll's departure, but there was a "decommittment". Prater was simply waiting it out to see what happened with the coaching position. And either way Michigan was never truly in the running with him, he never even took an official visit to Ann Arbor. If he wasn't going to SC it would've been between Tennessee, ND, OU, and Florida.
@mikeroninsonn:"ESPNU 150 wide receiver Kyle Prater solid with USC choice Four-star pass-catcher Kyle Prater of Proviso West (Hillside, Ill.), is excited about the hiring of new head coach Lane Kiffin and now plans to enroll at Southern California next week. He told ESPN's Greg Biggins via text message, "I'm 100-percent committed to USC and will be enrolling next week."
He had been upset after hearing that Pete Carroll had accepted the coaching position with the NFL Seattle Seahawks." FIGHT ON
lol Prater isn't going to Tennessee, anybody who keeps up with recruiting knows it's an OU, USC, Illinois battle with USC in the lead. I guess we'll know Sept. 3rd when he makes his decision.
Well when you sign Bryce Brown and company in 09 and get players like Prater, and Ambles to come on, its just time before that tallent is put to show.
can you imagine if he commits to tennessee? with ambles & milton already committed and if cobbs commits as well? would have to rank with the best wr recruiting classes all time. at least since the rankings have been around.
I agree. That would be a freak class. Ambles is a freaking stud, and Prater looks just as good. Milton gets left out of the conversation, but he too is going to be a really good wide out.
what's prater's speed like? if he were to go to bama, if julio's still there gmac or p. sims, or star, or aj could just loft that thing up there and go jump ball every time in the red zone. 6 points all day. oh and good block number 27.
it looks like he's got big long strides that make him look slow but he's really fast,
yea man, i'd love to see him at bama that'd be a sick team with julio his first year (or two but i doubt it) and then in 2011 bama's getting the top rated reciever marvin shinn
it all depends on how illinois competes this year..if they are top 4 in the big ten without a doubt cooper wont decommit and most likely prater will follow his good friend..now if they are below 4th theres a possibility cooper will want to go to a team that will compete..and likewise prater Its all going to be based off of how they compete..kids want to get noticed. if UI isnt in the national spotlight..game over
I got a feeling that Bama can forget about that. Just when they start getting their shit back together they get caught screwing up again. I guess the A.D. down there didn't get the memo. This ain't the 1950's. The NCAA is getting serious about this cheating shit.
You're wrong bud. The incidents spanned over three years. Two of those were under Shula's reign and one under Saban's.
It already is effecting your recruiting. Derrick Thomas's son Derrion was an Alabama lean until this latest incident. Believe it or not, when the NCAA tells Bama they're getting the death sentence if they commit one more fuck up of even the most minor nature and they're done, recruits with aspirations of playing in big time college football games listen. Crazy huh?
who ever created this video needs to relaxxxx on the zeroing on prater, i think we get the point of who he is, ya know the big D1 athlete making all the plays.....it ruins the highlight when your doing EVERY single play like that

The next Notre Dame Heisman winner. He wont play at Michigan because of the spread. This guy needs a QB that can chuck it down the field, You dont put a Randy Moss/T.O type WR to run 5 and 10 slant passes.
I think Notre Dame's days of living off of what they were instead of what they are have just about come to an end. I'll be surprised if he goes to ND. I'd lay my money on him either going to USC, Oklahoma, or Missouri. Those are the top programs that offered him. Bama had a nice season but they're already in hot water with the NCAA again. I don't have a problem with Notre Dame but let's be real here. They haven't exactly been wowing people lately and kids go for what's hot NOW.
Well I can tell ya this, Im not one of those unreasonable ND fans. I am very aware of what has been going on the past few seasons. But I can tell you that the Irish are very improved and they will be a team that will compete in the next few years. Mark my words Irish will win at least 10 games this year , and they will win a BCS. I wouldnt say this just to talk shit, they are for real. I hope this kid goes there, would be nice.
I'm a bit skeptical but anything is possible man. Wasn't trying to bash your program because ND obviously has a lot to be proud of. Just sayin' that they don't have rooms full of tape from 5 star kids praying that they'll be the lucky recipient of a scholarship from the blue and gold like they used to. Good luck to your team.
Wherever you go to college (might i suggest somwhere like i dunno Ann Arbor),you have the potential to develope into a michael crabtree type of player.Go Blue!
