@LifeSpectrum Ummmm, John Mitchell is playing in the NHL for the Rangers, White is playing for the Red Wings and when the hell did we have Rob Blake? Check your facts before you post.
man what a year hes having 1st in points wow and to think a year before he wuz picked last in the all star game and all them mad fun of him well hes shouting them all up now aha
It's funny, because Kessel has only lit up non playoff teams thus far. Look what happens when he runs into actual competition. And if i remember correctly, Kessel was off to a very hot start in October last year, and then fizzled out for a month and a half.
@SkunkBerry33 Now that the deals are 100% done now, let's combine the 2 deals: Kessel, Colborne, Biggs, and Liles for Kaberle, Seguin, Knight, and Hamilton
The deals are done, but the results are not. We will know the true results 5 years down the road. Out of all the Players, only 3 are playing in the NHL, and 1 is in the AHL.
@SkunkBerry33 at he can score 30 goals a season. Thats a given. Unlike seguin who will take time to develop and the numbers for dougie are from the AHL msg me when he puts those numbers up in the nhl and when seguin can score 30 goals year in and year out
@SkunkBerry33 Seguin will never be a dynamic player the way Kessel is, no arguing that. He will be good, of course... but his success can be attributed to the line he's on. Throw Parros on that line and he's put up 50 points. Bruins fans tend to inflate Seguin's value simply because he was involved in the trade. This trade was essentially entirely fair for both sides. Look at the Kaberle deal... now that was one sided.
@MajicPictures Phil Kessel Second Season- 82 Games- 19-18-37
Tyler Seguin Second Season THUS FAR 37 Games 16-21-37. You are going to have a hard time arguing that Kessel is the superior player right now, seeing as how if you compare them year by year thus far, Seguin looks like the better player on paper
Entirely fair on both sides? Dougie Hamilton is 7th in the entire OHL, and is on pace for 100 points as a defenseman.
@SkunkBerry33 Right, because junior defensemen never see a significant NHL drop off? Again, you're comparing ridiculous statistics. How can you relate the 2011-12 Bruins to the 2007-08 Bruins? Further, how can you compare Seguin's point totals with his line vs. Kessel's totals with his old line? Your logic is seriously flawed. It doesn't take a genius to watch these guys play and know who the better player is. Saying "looks like the better player on paper" sums up your credibility.
@MajicPictures Your statement that he was playing with the 09-08 Bruins just helps my argument. They had a young team, with very few skill players, giving Kessel, MORE ICE TIME. Kessel currently is a first line player,no debating that. But because of the lack of star power on the Leafs. Seguin would be on the first line in Toronto as well. Kessel gets more ice time than Seguin currently, in addition to more Power Play time due to the coaching styles of the two coaches.
@MajicPictures Claude gives his veterans and the players who have been up in the NHL more time than those who are rookies. Look at Marchand and Seguin. Marchand had to wait 2 years in the minors, in additon to having to play on the fourth line. (as well as Seguin and Kessel when he played under Claude) I still do not understand how any rationale person can compare the two at this point and time, and say without a doubt that Kessel is going to be the better player.
@MajicPictures When at this point in time, at age 19, in his second year in the pros mind you, he is a PPG player, something that took Phil Kessel, even when playing with the second best offense in 2008-2009, 6 years to do. Thats right, even when playing on a team that had 274 goals for, he only had 60 points in 70 games
@MajicPictures And wouldn't your argument that the 2007-2008 Bruins had nothing go for them, make your argument for Kessel being the more dynamic player invalid? The way you are building him up, it would seem that he makes everyone around him better? If that was the case, I would think the Bruins would have done better offensivly than 26th that year, but apparently Kessel could not keep up. Really no suprise though as it would seem even his fellow players do not think he is good see the 11ASG
@SkunkBerry33 Your argument is absolutely ridiculous. I laugh at your lack of hockey knowledge and entirely biased slant on this. Both teams came out of the trade in good standing, but to directly compare Kessel to Seguin is ridiculous. Your points don't even make sense and are entirely irrational. I'm not going to waste more time justifying why that is.
@MajicPictures lolololololol. Seguin is 19 and is only 8 points behind Kessel, in his second year in the NHL. I cannot wait until Seguin passes Kessel in the coming years, and you eat crow.
@SkunkBerry33 Did you completely miss the point? Seriously, am I talking to a fucking tree right now? My argument has nothing to do with point totals, only a complete idiot would take that purely into account when judging two players. Can you imagine Kessel's production on that line? Or rather, Seguin's lack of production on the Leafs top line? Do you get it now, or is this still flying over your head? lol.
@SkunkBerry33 I'll repeat, plus minus and second assists. I'm guessing you've never playe a high level of hockey. There's more to it than only what's on paper. Players aren't signed for point totals alone... and for good reason. This is a hopeless debate lol
@SkunkBerry33 Again, if you think that Seguin passing Kessel in total points, assuming the line ups are similar, is in ANY WAY indicative of their individual skill - then you sir have shown your lack of hockey knowledge.
@MajicPictures Kessel is 8 points ahead, with 3 games in hand, (4 technically because Seguin was benched for behavioral problems) I would be scared, especially with Kessel's second half history. My biased slant you say? Only a complete moron would fail to take into consideration that the Kid is 19 years old, and only in his second full season. You could argue Kessel has lesser talent no with Toronto, but he did not with the Bruins in any of his seasons.
@SkunkBerry33 I'm not arguing that Seguin is good, you're missing the point. If you're going to stick to your stats argument, then let's take a closer look. Seguin is lined up with Bergeron, a more talented player today than Savard when Kessel had 36. Seguin has 24 assists - 13 of them second assists. Kessel only has 5 second assists. Are you getting it yet? Do you realize how indicative both second assists and plus minus are of a player's line? You have NO clue lol.
@SkunkBerry33 Toronto wanted a guy who could produce NOW, not in 5 years or so, and its what they got, Kessel is atop of the league in points and goals right now, besides, remember we also got fleeced on the Kaberle deal, we gave them Joe Colborne 1st rounder, whos got 25 points in 28 games in the ahl right now, and picks that allowed them to trade for J.M Liles and draft Tyler Biggs 1st round. Leafs have plenty of 1st rounders on D, Schenn, Gardiner pop out, your missing much of the trade.
bhahah blake was just about to freak out like he always does when he scores but then realized that kessel actually tapped it in, lol thank god that retard is gone
Makes me sick to think that Jason Blake was playing on his line. I'm happy the dead weight like Toskala, Hagman, Stempniak, Ponikarovsky, Mayers, and Blake are gone from the team. I liked Stajan and White but it was worth giving them up for our future Captain and possible Norris winner (if he regains his form) Dion Phaneuf, depth prospect Keith Aulie and penalty killing specialist Sjostrom.
Lol @ mtlcan you used the wrong tense of "there". It's "their". I only mentioned it because you did something grammatically wrong in the same sentence as you were mentioning grammar. Fucking idiot. Still Kessel is a god but a pretty crappy first goal I must admit. It would have been better for a first goal if it was the goal against Ottawa or Florida.
first off i no more about hockey then you do..and considering that savard signed a deal with the bruins for more than 20m ova 7 years..and kovalchuk denied over a 100m contract the chance of u getting either of them is extremely slim..if u did u would have to give up practically ur whole team as u did for phanuef who has done jack shit for u guys considering your 2-6-2 in ur last ten..the bruins dropped 10 in a row but are now 4-3-3 and are sitting comfortabley in 7th place while ur in dead last
Sluck if u watched the game in Chicago you would know that Kessel got to amazing snipe goals from the hash marks so now we all know u don't know anything about the leafs so be quiet Go-Leafs-Go!
kessel made a good play...you never know when a defenseman might slide in and make a save...if he had let it go and that had happened, everyone would be bitchin that he didnt tap it in
Although he did steal the goal (it was going in whether he hit it or not) he did a nice pass to start the offensive play and was in a great position on the side of the net for a potential socring opportunity. He is a nice pickup for the leafs but time will tell if those draft picks come back to haunt the leafs. And I'm not a Leafs fan... in fact I'm a sens fan... so don't just say fuck you leafs fan and be done with it.
haaa fuck u fuckin faggit.. krejci will start prodcing soon and kessel isnt even that good..he looks good cuz of savards godlike passing.. but the leafs are fucking awful..and i gauretee hoo ever we draft is 10x better than kessel...or if we trade the picks hell be better
Kessel is doing very good without Savard. 2 goals and 4 points in 4 games, and he's not even in game shape. The guy will easily hit 25 goals this year, and 40 goals next year.
As for Krejci, the dude (dud) has 1 goal in 15 games. He'll be lucky to get 20 this year.
And even if you trade the picks, you're up against the cap, so say goodbye to Savard this summer (supposedly, he has close relatives that live outside of Toronto :p).
who gives a fuck if i spelt "faggot" wrong u prick..
kessel doesnt play 2 way hockey so even if he does put up 20 goals..he aint that good..
krejci isnt doin that good but he also is comin off surgery so well see
yea and kessel had family out side of minnesota and hes not on the wild.. hes gonna stay here.. plus wheeler and bergeron are better than kessel too..and the bruins arent gettin off to a good start but the leafs just suck horribly.. soo u can suck a dick
A few things for you Sir you are that "Faggot" Kessel compared to wheeleer and bergeron Is a joke and if its all savards passing how come he has a point per game in toronto :S and wheeler and bergeron have had the chance to play with savard and thier not at the 10 goal plato (correct me if im wrong) i love people who come and rant when they have no hockey knowledge cause its just a joke. Kessel is a pure offensive winger and one of the best at what he does dont compare him 2 wheeler plz :)
Your lack of correct spelling and hockey knowledge simply prove how much of a joke you are. You're dissing your teams former top goal scorer, and a guy who has 4 goals and 6 points in 4 games so far (he scored 2 last night against Chicago).
Phil Kessel didn't go to Minnesota because he wasn't a UFA, retard. Savard is going to be a UFA this summer, and since he'll likely want 6.5m+, good luck fitting him under the cap (the Bruins have what? 1m in cap space?).
Also, Kessel already has the same amount of goals as shitty Wheeler in only 4 games (both have 4), and Bergeron is one concussion away from ending his career (and definitely won't be able to replace Savard).
@vicusvita your point? howd the leafs do..second worst record throughout the NHL. yea i think so...plus kessel was a -8 so just shows that he doenst play D and the leafs fuckin suck
taylor hall or tyler seguin comin to boston motha fuckass
@bviperhockey9p He isn't hired to play D, thats for the other 10 grinding players on the team are supposed to do. Kessel was brought on to score, period. Before him the leafs had no one shot goal scorer.
@CrazyCleatus420 funny how u predicted 10th overall but really the bruins are projected to have second overall and 13th overall hahahaha leafs are a fuckin joke and just shows how much you know about hockey u dumb fuck
Hey sluck learn how to spell puck fuck tard and second this is a 22 year old who scored 36 goals last year he's better then alot of first round pick and definetley any second round pick so stfu cause you don't even know. Hockey and btw if you watch it again the Detroit guy would have knocked it out. Kessel will score 25 more this year and will absolutley rape next year so stfu
Why is everyone so impessed with this goal all he did was hit a puch that was already an inch from the net, I could of scored that of those are the goals hes going to get I think I would preffer the two first round picks, and the second
I can't believe this was 85 Kessel goals ago... wow

bviperhockey9p 2 years ago
Shutup fag, Krejci is doing shitty this year and has swine flu from sucking pig dick.
The Leafs are also starting to play a lot better, so there's no way in hell Boston is getting a top 5 pick (it'll probably be 10th overall).
Have fun drafting two players who aren't anywhere near as good as Kessel, dick wad.

haaa fuck u fuckin faggit.. krejci will start prodcing soon and kessel isnt even that good..he looks good cuz of savards godlike passing.. but the leafs are fucking awful..and i gauretee hoo ever we draft is 10x better than kessel...or if we trade the picks hell be better
bviperhockey9p 2 years ago
It's spelled "faggot," you idiot.
And even if you trade the picks, you're up against the cap, so say goodbye to Savard this summer (supposedly, he has close relatives that live outside of Toronto :p).

who gives a fuck if i spelt "faggot" wrong u prick..
kessel doesnt play 2 way hockey so even if he does put up 20 goals..he aint that good..
krejci isnt doin that good but he also is comin off surgery so well see
yea and kessel had family out side of minnesota and hes not on the wild.. hes gonna stay here.. plus wheeler and bergeron are better than kessel too..and the bruins arent gettin off to a good start but the leafs just suck horribly.. soo u can suck a dick
bviperhockey9p 2 years ago
A few things for you Sir you are that "Faggot" Kessel compared to wheeleer and bergeron Is a joke and if its all savards passing how come he has a point per game in toronto :S and wheeler and bergeron have had the chance to play with savard and thier not at the 10 goal plato (correct me if im wrong) i love people who come and rant when they have no hockey knowledge cause its just a joke. Kessel is a pure offensive winger and one of the best at what he does dont compare him 2 wheeler plz :)

Kessel is a star.....plain and simple.

CrazyCleatus420 2 years ago
Also, Kessel already has the same amount of goals as shitty Wheeler in only 4 games (both have 4), and Bergeron is one concussion away from ending his career (and definitely won't be able to replace Savard).

hows kessel doin now..1 goal in 11 games
bviperhockey9p 2 years ago
10 goals***

Pretty good. He has more goals and points than anyone on your marginal team.

@bviperhockey9p I know this is a long time ago but I just wanted to point out that Kessel scored 30 goals coming off shoulder surgery last summer...
vicusvita 1 year ago
@vicusvita your point? howd the leafs do..second worst record throughout the NHL. yea i think so...plus kessel was a -8 so just shows that he doenst play D and the leafs fuckin suck
taylor hall or tyler seguin comin to boston motha fuckass
bviperhockey9p 1 year ago
@bviperhockey9p He isn't hired to play D, thats for the other 10 grinding players on the team are supposed to do. Kessel was brought on to score, period. Before him the leafs had no one shot goal scorer.
vicusvita 1 year ago
@bviperhockey9p um if your on the second worst team in the nhl how are you supposed to have a plus rating?
mrFantasticfan111 1 year ago
@bviperhockey9p lol @ uneducated morons like yourself looking at +/- stats to determine if a player plays a 2way game.
What a joke of a stat....and people like you who take it seriously are an even bigger joke.
