  • I have three versions of this movie, 1984, 1993, and 2004. All of them have the alternative versions of the dance song. There is one more version I haven't seen. It must be rare if it has the original soundtrack.

  • Does anyone know if the hypnotism scene in the restaurant is posted? ("no, you are" - "no, you are.") I haven't been able to find it anywhere.

  • Thank you for posting this! I received the DVD for Christmas and - waiting for my favorite disco dance scene - found out they had replaced "I Love the Nightlife" with some lame disco song. For those who have not seen it before, could be okay. But for me, the DVD is worthless without the right song! Thanks again! :-D

  • @SummerRain368 I feel the same, bought the DVD and was expecting this song but the song they replaced it with doesn't have the same tempo as the original and just make the whole dance scene seem off. >.<

  • What did they do? remove the sound in the DVD?

  • I've heard this many times before but just recently on a late show George Hamilton said that he's gonna make a "Love At First Bite 2'.......I'm for it and against it. You just can't beat the original. :o)

  • I get so EXCITED every time I watch this video!!!!!!! Thanks for keeping it on

    U-Tube.

  • One of my favorite movies! So funny! Love the skirt, even to this day.

  • I can't watch this video enough.....it's my fantasy~!!!!!!!!

  • Dracula goes clubbing: he tracks his dream girl to her favorite hangout, and winds up disco dancing with her.

  • One of the funniest things ever.

  • My fav scene in this movie!

  • BOBBY&CONI SONG!!

  • NO! Yooooooouuu are getting sleeeeeepy!

  • No......You.......Are!!!!!!

  • I agree. This song really made the whole movie. I've loved this movie since it came out. Love George Hamilton. No wonder I have a vampire admiration. LOL. (Twilight all makes sence now)

  • The scene is NOT the same without this music.

  • I bought this movie from wal-mart and they did not have this scene in there but another one. This was the best part of the movie

  • I've loved this movie since I was 9 and now I'm 39 and nothing has changed. I with George Hamilton would come and take me away. :o)

  • ditto! and i'm 53.

  • the coolest vampire in film history!!!

  • Thank you! I hate that they've released the film on DVD WITHOUT this song. One of my favorite comedies of all time!

  • Let's face it. Doesn't get better than Love at First Bite.

What a movie. George was a doll!

  • I love this movie! What George Hamilton does for that Tux!!

  • Sweet Memories! Thanks for this post.

1979 was the best year of my life!!!

  • Thank you joesch1955 ..... I love this clip , George Hamilton and Susan Saint James do this so well ...... Love at first bite , still a cool movie after all this time.

  • i love this movie, this is one of the best scenes...i have a copy of the film at home but for some reason the music to this scene is different?! i was sooo disappointed when i realised, so thanks for posting this :)

  • Yeah, they changed the music when they re-released it. Something to do with licensing. I agree, it's a pain in the...neck.

  • It's Dracula! Doing a romantic waltz! To a '70s disco song! And it's called "I Love the Night Life"! Get it?!? Oh my god, that was hilarious when I saw it as a kid.

Actually, it still is pretty awesome. Thanks for posting!

  • Great movie! Loved it!

  • It's really kind of cool watching George Hamilton, not only dancing, but younger as well.

  • Saw this movie in '79 @ the AMC 6 in New Carollton, Md. @ the tender age of 7. God, good times!

  • Magic.. an in RERUNS..

wow I remember my Mom an her friends Doobin it up watchin this

  • I have researched the song replacement thing further. The VHS has the correct song (I love the nightlife). When it was transposed to DVD, some years later, the song was replaced with the crap version. My guess is that it was a royalties issue.

  • Aww both versions are equaly romanic! ;D

  • It's pretty pathetic that after Frank Langella, Gary Oldman and Marc Warren, that George Hamilton is stil the best Dracula.

  • Thank you so much for uploading this! I have the DVD version and the song they use is horrible--this song makes the movie! I'm going to try and dub the right song onto my DVD version and have the best video with the right song!

  • Yes, the Alicia Bridges 'I love the nightlife'

in the original movie really turned what was just a 'good comedy' into a memorable classic! I downloaded a copy from Isohunt recently and to my disappointment they had put that crap overdub. I thought it may have been the uploader that did it. Reading these comments I realise that it was done at some other time.

  • The orginal song in "Love At First Bite" was I love The Nightlife. However, for some reason along the way, it was changed to "The Man that I Love is Him.".......I have the movie and I have it taped off TV......but it's only on the TV version w/ the incorrect song. I know that it's the wrong song since I saw "Love At First Bite" at the drive-in in 1979. I love this movie and I have ever since I were 9 years old.

  • does the VHS have the i love the nightlife dance?

  • I'm not sure. This version was taped off Broadcast TV by my Father in law. I'm not sure when he taped it.

  • @puppetmaster612 No, the VHS copy had the "new" song.

I am not sure if they secured the rights for the DVD version, but AMC use to show it with this song.

  • fui a ver esta pelicula con un grupo de amigos en el 79, kjamas olvide esta escena

  • All vhs and dvd have the same replacement song. I wonder if the Laserdisc has that too?

  • this movie with george hamilton and susan saint james in it dancing to i love the nightlife is fanastic!i have this on dvd but the song does not play in the movie i have which in the first place when the dvd was release that song should of been on there!debra

  • WOW THIS SO MUCH BETTER!

  • I love this movie, and especially this scene. Thanks much for posting!

  • Thanks for posting this...NO IDEA why they changed the song in the DVD release! This is SO MUCH BETTER!

  • Thanks for the real version,

  • I have always wondered why they replaced the song. When I saw this in the drive in when I was 9, they played "I Love The NightLife"...Now, it's "The Man that I Love" or something. Yes, I got used to the other song......but nothing beats the real deal. I taped Love AT First Bite off TV and they played it w/ "I Love The NightLife" so I have both copies. I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!

  • ooohhh!! I LOVe this movie! My dad has this recorded somewhere; due to the changes inacted, now I shan't bother looking for this on DVD and just burn it myself.

  • Yeah, the funny this is, on the preview ,which is on the dvd, they use this song. Weird

  • Awesome post, I fell in love with Susan Saint James during this scene at the tender age of 5. Awesome song, damn shame they changed it for the dvd, what a ridiculous idea on someones part.

  • No shit!!! Dude, I thought I was the only one who missed the original song for this scene! Thanks for posting!!!!!

  • The CORRECT soundtrack.

Sadly they replaced this song with a lesser one on the DVD release.

    Idiots!

  • I always dreamed that I'd meet my husband this way. Too bad it never came true ah well we did get to dance together though.

  • how did you get a copy of the film with the original song in this scene?!?!?!?

  • My Father-in-law videotaped it off TV several years ago -

  • well thanks for posting it - at least there is somewhere where people can see the scene as it is supposed to be shown

  • Not sure If I replied already? Anyway My Father in law has hundreds of movies on VHS that he taped off Broadcast TV. I'm not sure when this was originally broadcast (with the correct song!), but I was glad he had taped it.

  • Hey great to hear that the original soundtrack still exist with the movie. I've been looking for this classic for sometime now. How can a get a copy.

  • i remember this movie when i was grade 6 thanks for posting it brings back memories., love this movie reinfield was very funny!!

  • How very wonderful! Thanks for the great post! :)

  • Thank you my honeykins for all your hard work!!I love the nightlife too wink-wink and you so much xoxoxox!!!
