Un silva travesti?, como hicieron esto de cambiar el sexo de un personaje, que aberracion. Ni Pavarotti, ni Horne, no la Sutherland son para esta opera las mejores voces. Pero lo peor es el Silva, mujer, jaajajaja, los bajos se deben haber horrorizado!
She does have an amazing low register. I love her Quickly in Falstaff - the 'reverenza' is just the best. Has anyone ever heard her recorded 'Celeste Aida' at tenor pitch? That must be quite something!
I got to see her singing Quickly at the Met. Goodness it was absolutely flawless. The cast included Paul Plishka, Barbara Daniels and Horne, can't remember who else was in it, but is was an unforgettable evening.
