Obama wants our troops to come home and stop needlessly being killed altogether. McCain is just another Bush puppet, like we need more of that in this now pointless war.
he only wants the troops to leave iraq so he can send them to afghanistan, get killed in sudan, start a war in pakistan and indonesia. to think that this man will keep our troops safe is niave. john mccain is the only candidate who has proven over and over again that he actually cares about our troops
I don't believe that about Obama, and besides if McCain really cared about the troops he'd want to pull them out too so that they can take care of and spend time with their families here instead of babysitting and being slaughtered there. I'm sick of reading about our people losing their lives for GWB's oil money. There's always going to be crap in the middle east and to think it can be solved when THEY aren't willing to stop is naive.
Good question. I wish I knew. But I'd bet he probably figured that mraps would just support this lost cause. Our troops will still die one way or another, the best course of action is to just bring them home.
Steadily pulling out would take 16 months. We could do it in less. We got over there quick enough. And for as screwed up as it sounds, I'm still voting for Obama if he wins the Democratic primaries. At this point anyone who doesn't look like they'll be carrying on Bush's bad example seems like a good candidate to me.
Hah, I was actually on the same bus as Jonah when he was on his way to work. The crowd was incredible and it's nice to see that Obama is a stand up guy in real life.
I'm sick of the media putting us into groups... saying the youth are inspired because of celebrities, or that we don't know his policies. Maybe they will get the hint that not only do we know his policies, but he can inspire us to great things!!
I think there is a lot of concern from the anti-Obama camp that says Obama is just a charismatic candidate that tries to please everyone and won't be able to make the hard decisions in the White House.
Personally, I can think of no other candidate that I'd rather have to represent the United States of America for whatever issues face America in the next eight years.
It was just amazing how many people came to the Seattle Center. Freeway traffic was out of control and the buses from surrounding areas couldn't handle the amount of people trying to go see Obama. But once we go inside the arena, the energy from the crowd was incredible.
yuck! obamadroids are scary

wow, what an empty call. he may rally the crowds, but i want a president who will get things done.
McCain'08
McCain voted to send thousands of MRAPs to our troops to save them from IEDs.
Obama, on the other hand, voted against saving the lives of our troops on the ground.
