All the songs from Lekin movie was hit,but noone gives credits to Hridaynath Mangeshkar.Only he can give such magical and hard to compose music. All the songs, mostly marathi, compose by Hridaynath Mangeshkar and sung by Lata Mangeshkar are great.
You're right, Majeed ji. What a touching song! Sung so beautifully by Lataji it brings out the heart rending philosophical depth of the lyrics! The slow paced but heart tugging dhol beat in the beginning and throughout later on absolutely stirs the soul! The music choreography plays its powerful part in completing the deeply melancholic feel of the composition that draws us into it. Thank You is but a word! :) Ritu 12/22/09.
All eloquently said, Dear Ritu. i have read that the movie was a flop, but all the songs in it are of the finest caliber-- in their lyrics, in their musicality and in the way they are rendered both vocally and in on-screen enactments. Suniyoji Araj Mhariyo and Kesariya Balam , for example, have got to be among Lataji's all-time great songs. Thanks for restoring all the Lekin songs, Majeedji.
