Im pretty sure that's not even close to what the "dressing" is made up of. I have worked at Applebee's for almost 9 years and this is laughable. and it's jack and cheddar not colby.
yea...ive been working for applebees for close to 5 years now and ive prepared the fiesta lime chicken thousands of times. this is the most ridiculous re-creation of this recipe ive ever encountered. nice try...but nope.

Better way to do this: Mix Ranch and Salsa together, pour it over the chicken breast, cover that in cheese and serve it over a bed of rice with tortilla lime strips. ( Mexi Ranch is the dressing they use and it's just ranch and salsa mixed together. )
Looks like you burnt the chicken....HaHa AppleBees Chef...Thats like coming in First.............In The Special Olympics(No offense retards) Just kidding, But you really did just burn the chicken----then put it on youtube----so everyone could see how to make your stolen idea.....BURNT! Good Job Guy
Lol this is way too complicated for such a simple dish. And panseared? really? this dish tastes better grilled. Also, can't believe the guy with the funny hat actually ate the burnt chicken. Anyway, put some color in your video, looks like an early 90's computer help video.
I work at applebee's.. and this is def not close to the actual fiesta lime chicken.. although it does look good, and good try...
its basically just a grilled chix breast with lime squeezed on top, mexi ranch sauce on top (which is basically just salsa and ranch mixed together), and then jack cheddar cheese blend on top of that.. you put it in the broiler and serve it with pico (tomatoes, jalapenos, and onions), a lime, mexi rice and tortilla chips
@OrlandoWa, =\ YEAH! Lol, are you still working there? I just couldn't do it anymore so I applied to other places while I was still working there. It was just...not working. If i were in a situation in which my livelihood depended on it, I would've stayed there. But luckily I had/have people who care about me. But yeah...hope I don't have to do that again.
i've been there since october, and i started looking for a new job in november probably.
finally got a new job just the other day, so i'm trying to decide if i should be professional and give them 2 weeks, or just walk right off the line during peak production hours.
wow, i see ALOT of people saying that this isn't @ all "authentic"! this is my husbands favorite dish of all time and our anniversary is coming up soon, i would REALLY love to make this for him. so if any body can PLEASE tell me how to do it THE APPLEBEES WAY i would appreciate it SOOOO MUCH!
MY FAVORITE MENU ITEM. i like it better than the steak, nextime i go i will order, 2 of these 1 to go and 1 to eat there, dont worry im skinny so i need to gain weight, i always order this or the fetccine pasta
i have worked at the bees for 2 years and im a back of the house key.....this is not it at all........maybe close to the old way it was done but not the new and better way......plus get a life
So would you like to contribute then by actually telling us how it is made?
Otherwise your comment is pretty much useless.
I have a feeling that the "sauce" they have is probably pre-made and shipped to the resturants. Obviously you can't just go out and buy that, so this is probably a close approximation.
i am a broil cook at applebees and we don't cook it this way at all. all it is is chicken mexi-ranch and shred jack- chedder, put in the melt and served with mexi rice pico de gallo and a lime wedge. thats it.
I work at AppleBee's too but as a server. Um. This doesn't LOOK like how they make it, and we sure as heck don't serve it with chips and salsa. It comes with rice. I'm so confused.
Yeah, mine always comes with chips. This is probably my favorite thing there, and since it's the only restaurant in town open past 9pm, I used to eat there a lot when I got off work. It always comes with chips.
Thanks I didit and IT WAS GOOD JUST LUKE THE RESTAURANT

As an Applebee's cook, I'm laughing my ass off! The recipe is so much simpler. It is so simple I don't know why people buy it at all.
You go to a chain restaurant like Applebee's and you think you're getting actual chef level food???
If you do, you're freaking dumber than dumb! period.
