these airplanes have a major design flaw, the jack screw goes and then diasaster strikes in mid air eventually, just seen it on air crash investigation, good on him for reporting them to whoever.

i wouldnt choose your place to sit at, if a bird hits that engine something tells me that the shrapnels gonna fly right into the window and pucture it and the person sitting next to it.

If I'm not mistaken, ALL AA's MD-82/83's have the uprated -219 engines, so they can all be intermixed; however, if the -83's are generally used on longer routes such as DFW - SEA, DFW - PDX, DFW - LGA, etc... where fuel and payload is a factor.

s-80 and md-80 are exactly the same but aa nicknames them s-80 which stands for "super 80"
