when i owned the original game that loud explosion sound of the car blowing up on my tv as a kid was fucking louder than any other sound in the game it used to scare the fuck out of me... ironically when i got bored of the game i used to love flying as far out of the track as i could to blow up...good game + good times. best racing game ever n64 + gamecube version dont even have the feel this game has i swear they vehicles are faster in this game.

Jesus, don't be such an elitist. It's entirely possible to enjoy this stage even using save states, given how ridiculously hard it is. I suppose it wouldn't be enjoyable in your case, since you have this idea that save states = cheating, but that's not how everybody sees it.
