they also had alot of songs everytime they went in to record. john writes a song almost every day, so when recording hit, if they pop out an album every two and a half years thats like 900 songs to choose from. thats part of why they ditched their label and went indie. so they can record when they want. but its also why you get the seasonal EP's and the family fiction work.

it's not about making a solo album for Jon Foreman i dont know bout others but Jon is my hero and i must i do know the reason Jon created his solo work apart form Switchfoot beucase he felt that those songs he created weren't the direction Switchfoot was going in as you know his Fall winter summer and spring recodrs are a different musical direction then Switchfoot :) Thats why he created his solo work also his solo work is much more personal and He is ofcourse soley dedicated to Switchfoot

Yeap, exactly. There are certain musical directions Jon likes to go into that aren't neccessarily the same as Switchfoot. Switchfoot's a lot more rock-ish compared to any of his EPs. Interesting thing is his band backed him for quite a while to get him started on this. =)

Yes, well Switchfoot is a family ofcourse. Lol and you know famalies! When they see an awesome oppurtunity for their brother to suceed immensley and show his other talents, ofocurse they'll lol URGE him to pursue it. Im Glad JOn did for if he didnt we'd be missing 4 deeply satisfying and unexplainably good Ep's. :D Switchfoot is amazing. Jon Foreman is amazing. funny how these things work ;)

the solo EPs that were released were personal projects. i think they were meant to be more "worship/christian" oriented songs, for personal reasons. i don't think he released these "solo" albums for the sake of them being successful, it was just his side project. hope that helps =]
