  • "It is up to people like you and me...Who are out of our tiny little minds..."

    Oh Graham, I love you.

  • Dear Sirs,

I would like to complain about the people complaining about the complaints in reference to the silliness of this sketch. I for one do not feel in any way shape or form that this sketch is overly silly. Sincerely yours, Brigadier General Arthur Belling(Mrs.)

  • The true spirit of Python. Chapman, along with Cleese represented the genuinely mad end of the Python spectrum whereas the others, though brilliant were just PLAYING at it

  • Monty Python Call to Arms!

  • P-ting!

  • Roger Ebert said a man wearing a silly hat isn't funny, but a man who doesn't know he's wearing a silly hat, now that's funny. But what if it's an axe?

  • I like to bring up this sketch in therapy.

  • right then. this is too silly. we need something decent, and military

  • Right that's enough, this is getting too silly!

  • Sums up the effect my parents forever strive to have on me.

  • famous people who go to st.loony up the cream bun and jam are as followed: isaac Clarke, mad hatter, john Travolta, the Ultimate Warrior, Johnny Depp, and The Spoony One

  • @Sonichero151 and also the cast of Monthy python's flying circus

  • Wait, was that...

    THE BISHOP!

  • @MrBuch169169 Okay, Devious!! Don't move!!

  • This is how I live my life, and I've never been better. I have spread the word of the danger of the sanity epidemic and how we can overcome it, and I shall continue to do so until we're all completely bonkers. :3

  • the reverend is vicar of ''st. loony up the cream bun and jam''

    *rofl'd to death*

  • I actually did the pting! pting! thingy a couple of weeks ago. I did it in public but thankfully I had only two witnesses. I hope they didn't film me :) I think it's much more fun than planking. I hope more people will do the pting! pting!. I also hope that I learn not to begin every sentence with "I".

  • :58

    THE BISHOP!

  • Some are born sane, some achieve sanity, and others have sanity thrust upon them

  • i was copying this in bed wqhen i was going the spazzing bit and my dad cxame in and he was like 0_o .....................ill come back later then

  • Hmmm...a barmy person appealing for sanity...the irony is making my head spin!

  • St. Looney-Up-The-Cream-Bun-And-Jam

  • The Messiah!

  • I like the part where he talks about sanity.

  • So that's why vicars always talk weird shit.

  • I am out of my tiny little mind....... :P

  • @DiligentSleeper Aren't we all out of our tiny minds in some way? It all depends on what you do and how you react.

  • @lastswordfighter well the entire population off the internet is anyway

  • Looks like 12 people are sane... poor fellows.

  • NURR NURR NURR

  • i've been an out-of-the-closet insane for 4 years now and proud of it

  • Graham was the best.

  • I think if everyone could be this silly we wouldn't have to worry about wars much

  • It's unbelievably impressive that he could keep such a staight face. :D

  • @TheWarnerSister it's the British.

  • ^12 people are sane.

  • @robotgirl97 Those poor bastards.

  • Ohh, I love Graham so much! ^_^

  • I think I just found my favourite sketch. :D

  • St. Floony Up-the-cream-bun-and jam.

  • SQUAK SQUAK SQUAK!

  • STOP THAT ITS SILLY

  • @cellogirlMJfan

Shut up or I'll hit you with a rubber chicken while wearing a suit of armour!

  • @StukovM1g *throws giant wooden rabbit at you*

  • @cellogirlMJfan

*Slaps you with a giant haddock*

  • If you wanted to describe the entire Monty Python series is a single sketch, this would be the one.

  • i'd so go to this guy's church

  • I think I finally understand this sketch - the true meaning of it. The reverend is Graham Chapman himself, representing all of the Pythons, and St. Looney-Up-The-Cream-Bun-And-Jam is actually the" Church" of Python. And the message here is that it is up to people like us Python fans to help everyone else overcome their sanity, by the forceful introduction of supreme silliness (taught to us by the masters themselves) into their sadly sane lives.

    NUURRRR NURRRR NURRRR!

  • RIP graham

  • Ah, the memories of services at St. Looney-up-the-Creambun-and-Jam, where we'd sing the hymn, "Leedee-deedeedee, leedee-deedeedee", and smash crockery on one another's heads...

  • Hmm, sounds like he's talking about a soccer match.

  • 11 sane people were watching this video

  • Chapman was a complete madman in real life.... fortunately !

  • NRRRR NRRRR NRRRR!!!

  • 00:58 THE BISHOP

  • The Reverend Arthur Belling of vicar of St. Loony of the Cream Bun and Jam. lol

  • I'm sure there's something theologically profound to be derived from this.

  • Has anyone seen the Red Dwarf episode where Rimmer contracts a space virus, goes mad and starts talking to a penguin? this really reminds me of it.

  • @WonderWoman200290 Mr. Flibble!

  • @GoblinXXX : D

"So let me get this straight. You want to fly on a magic carpet to see the king of the Potato People and plead with him for your freedom, and you're telling me you're all completely sane?" Quarantine, Awesome Ep.

  • @WonderWoman200290 He was also dressed like Pippi Longstockings at the time, making it even more awesomer. ;)

  • Fatang, fatang! Graham always looks half-asleep (hmm, wonder why?). Poor dude.

  • I want to live at St Looney-up-the-cream-bun-and-jam.

  • my favorite Monty Python bit ever

  • Yes, I was sane. But I'm better now.

    You are missed, Graham.

  • Have you seen at the end? THE BISHOP!

  • @Robi2009 I love THE BISHOP! xD

  • Like the country western song goes, "Yeah, I might be a little bit loco, But it keeps me from losin' my mind. Oh, but half insane, that's ok, babe, A little bit crazy's all right." I am glad to a little nutty because that's what makes me. Heck the line genius and insanity is always thin anyway. Ultimately it is our own quarks that help us laugh and better ourselves in life.

  • Graham C. : a genuine quality madman

  • And then you can jump up and down in a bowl of treacle going 'Squawk! Squawk! Squeeeerk! Squawk!!!

  • St Loony-up-the-Cream Bun & Jam. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

  • Lysande, helt enkelt.

  • Ni!

  • i've been out of my timy little mind since puberty

    and i like it

  • I will follow you in your quest, good sir. May you rest in peace Mr. Chapman.

    Puh-TING! Puh-TING!!!

  • "Wh o are out of our tiny little minds" loz

  • Very brilliant. This is the sort of person we should should all aspire to be

  • Im afraid not, sir, for you see, when it comes to people who are downright mad, its only fitting that we should try our hand at it ourselves, in the hope of a better future for all of us.

  • @lisambofoh

I see, what you did there, but couldn't we just admire more than one person?

If you admire someone for being brilliantly funny, that doesn't mean, you admire people you call true heros.

I guess, that is just my point of view, but personally I'd like to think, I can idolize a group of different people for what they do/did. (p.e. a doctor + an artist + a family member)

And please excuse my bad English.

I hope, you got, what I meant.

  • his axe came off...

  • Of course it did. Only a sane axe would have stayed put, don't you think?

  • "NUUHRRR NUHRR NUHRRRR!"

  • SQUAAAAH SQUAH SQUAH SQUAAAHHH

  • Oh, Graham... So DAMN good looking, a great actor, genius, such a wonderful man, and of course, a looney bastard! We love you, Gray! <3

  • P'TING! P'TING!

  • Comment removed

  • why does Graham have an axe in his head?? LOL

  • He's a silly vicar, isn't he?

  • oh yeah right XD i just thought he looked silly, hence the name Silly Vicar XD

  • the first monty python sketch I ever saw...

  • "Some of them were born sane. Some of them became sane later in their lives." Sounds like a bit of gay humor so secretively woven in. Rocking.

  • This is sane compared to some of what is going on in the world today...Tune out to tune in man.

  • Why do I get the feeling this "vicar" is really a high priest of of discordianism? (Hail Eris Discordia)

  • It could be considered the Monty Python Flying Circus summarized in 50 seconds!

    -rip graham

  • I would be honoured to join the St Loony Up The Cream Bun And Jam Catholic Church

  • Too too too tooo too! Too too too tooo too!

  • This is what I live by.

  • I love this sketch. It sums up everything Monty Python (and anything fun on the modern internet)

  • And might I add that I am part of Rev. Belling's parish. sQuAwK SqUaWk sQuAwK!!!!

  • St. Looney Up the Cream Bun and Jam

  • Throatwobbler Mangrove forever

  • @baTonkaTruck Aww Mangrove is a genius and a legend with that nose !!

  • chapman was so beautiful..........

  • This is hilarious.

    Period.

  • LOL the axe fell off!

  • Saint Loony Up the Cream Bun and Jam, that might be an interesting parish to join.

  • I loved watching this particular skit as a little kid. I think that's how I lost my sanity early on. I'm surprised my parents let me watch Monty Python.

  • are you kidding? My parents considered Python a vital part of my early education!

  • Well done by your parents, IMO.

  • So did my dad!

  • first video I put in my favorites, ever.

  • lol so randum xD

  • I think that, in a way, the Joker tried to explain this, but the means he used were too extreme and insane even for insanity itself. If only he had listened to Graham Chapman...

  • Graham is adorable x3

  • @Lennoxed too bad he died over 20 years ago...

  • @Lennoxed even with an axe in his head :)

  • He's making silly noises. That's silly.

  • PTING PTING!!

  • Ping-pong ball eyes and a funny voice. Such as Crow T. Robot?

  • Cool, a MST3K reference.

  • Okay everyone! Let's all lose our sanity! When we have, let's help others do so!

Wear your pants on your head, roll on the way to anywhere you go, fondle your bum out in public!

  • No, no, no! Wear your underpants on your head, put pencils in your nostrils and go "Wobble"!

  • 0:41 --------> i absolutely lost my shit

  • pting pting, haha, love it.

  • I'm pretty sure that the axe he is wearing is the same axe that Keith Moon was wearing after The Isle of Wight :)

  • This skecth is hilarious.

    Love Monty Python

  • I love Graham.

  • I will not. This is silly.

  • Please? Don't say I didn't warn you!

  • Besides, I don't live anywhere near Luton.

  • This proves how many so-called 'Python watchers' don't understand irony. Did any of the people who gave the above comment a 'thumbs down' ever watch the 'Army Protection Racket' sketch?!?

  • lol.

    he's freakin' cute and handsome

  • his axe fell of .D

    *ONE EYED SMILEY FTW*

  • lol I love Graham.

  • this is awesome

the axe in his head just makes my day!

  • aw.. I love Graham so much in this... Even if he does seem a bit drunk.... Still the sketch is a great appeal to sane people... LOL

  • as well to the insane =D

  • Funny and touching, and a bit grotesque, I like how they came up with things like that. When he adressed to us, out of our tiny little minds, my own proud 'touched head' followed suite.

  • PTING! PTING! PTING!

    awesome.

Flying Circus was on BBC a few nights ago. It wasn't a terribly funny episode but it was good nonetheless

  • Which channel?

    Will it be on again?

  • um all I know was that it was BBC America, and it was part of a Friday night comedy block

  • they had it on every friday for like a month or two but then they stopped D:

  • Oh, OK

  • Haha, out of our tiny minds. PATEENG! PATEENG! haha. love Graham in this!

  • Graham Chapman is one of the great masters of the rare art of the hammy deadpan.

  • PATING! PATING!

  • Ne koydun lan gaffana?

  • i love that he is so serious one moment and then an other moment he goes off with pitng and stuff like that

  • I love how he can be saying something serious and then suddenly go PTING! PTING! Just like that.

  • when the camera zoomed out and showed the axe on his head i nearly died laughing! That and the rolling around on the floor going "pting! pting! pting! pting!"

  • Screw Sanity, I like this guy more!

  • this group of guys are the only people who can pull off being completely silly as being completely serious.

  • they are amazing! All 3 Monty python movies were masterpieces! The Serious - Silly thing reminds me of Scrubs.

  • except that Monty Python is funny.

  • That was remarkebly silly! XDDD

  • HAHAHA! GRAHAM'S AXE FELL OFF!!!

  • graham chapman is my favourite python...

  • mine too! to bad he died :(

    may he rest in peace

    and yes i'm being serious.

  • along with john cleese they formed the best comedic partnership to ever grace television, imo. may he R.I.P.

  • Which one is best, the silly vicar or the dirty vicar? ;)

  • SILLY!

  • I have to agree on that one!

  • silly all the way!

  • Although I am a dirty vicar fan, I am going to have to say that the silly vicar owns him.

  • Definitely silly.

  • St Looney Up The Cream Bun And Jam haha.

  • pause at 0:47 for a funny face lol

  • how the hell did you do that?
