I come from a very religious family, and yes I have at times, doubted the existence of God, but I have always wondered, if we can come to believe in history books, why can't we come to believe in the Bible? I mean no one alive today can say they saw world war 1 (unless you actually have,). But the point is, these stuff was written down and documented, just as the way of the Bible has. Occam's razor is not a tool for proof. If you asked someone in 1356 to choose between a flat world and and spheric world that is bound together by something called gravity, Occams razor goes for the hypothesis with the least amount of assumptions. You see, the universe is defined as the entirety of existence, which we know is finite. However, the amount of space it can expand into (its borders) are infinite. The fact that the galaxies are creating distance suggests that they were originally much closer together - which would suggest a singularity.

Harry Potter is either a man or a manmade fiction, and Man being a descendant of Prokaryotic Cells, this would date Harry Potter's existence after/not before the creation moment of Prokaryotic Cells that took place 4 billion yrs ago. Thus, he/it can't be the Creator.

Occam's razor is not a tool for proof. If you asked someone in 1356 to choose between a flat world and and spheric world that is bound together by something called gravity, Occams razor goes for the hypothesis with the least amount of assumptions. You would have to assume there is this thing called gravity and although you cant see the world as a whole, or gravity, the earth is spheric. I believe in god through faith only. All things that exist are finite. In that in order for a God to exist he must have limits. To be unlimited is to be everything. If God is everything he does not exist (He is all of reality). To exist is to be bounded by that which you are not and to be seen by an observer as such. Believing in God is not logical as it requires one to believe in a finite infinitude. You cannot combine the two concepts. What we need to be focusing on is living as long as possible not focusing on nonexistence.

Science reveals the mecanisms by which things work. It doesn't explain the origin of these mecanisms. I believe in the scientific method as a SURE way to mesure what is true or not (empirical evidence), but I'm not a absolute positivist. I don't think science can unravel EVERYTHING. - Further away galaxies were moving further away than others
This proof (redshift) of an expanding universe inevitably pointed to a beginning of the universe.
Also, researchers in the 60s accidentally discovered something known as cosmic microwave background radiation. Look it up.

You see, the universe is defined as the entirety of existence, which we know is finite. However, the amount of space it can expand into (its borders) are infinite. The fact that the galaxies are creating distance suggests that they were originally much closer together - which would suggest a singularity.

occams razor only states that the simplest explaination is prefered, not necessarily correct. as it is we seem to have alot of evidence that something happened. evidence is usually of that nature, not that something didn't happen, or in this case, doesn't exist. the atheist position is rather irrational and unscientific in as much as they believe a negative that is by definition unproveable. the christian position is unscientific too, it is a matter of faith, no evidence or proof required.

Also, your conclusion that we have evidence that Genesis is not correct is not sound. You are assuming that science in always correct. The "Facts" as stated by science is constantly changing. I have seen it myself over the years. The fact is that mos of the statements that science makes are nothing more than theory. Lastly, you use Occam's Razor to explain why God does not exist because the simplest explanation is usually the correct one. The key word here is "Usually" not always.

I have seen science change their stated "Facts' over the years as they find that they were in error. Just look through science books through out the years and you will see this to be true. I believe that everyone has the right to choose whether they believe in god or not. So if atheist are correct then no problem. But if God is real, then what. Science can't disprove god. Not really
