  • freitasex, heres a hint, cook wings, then coat the wings in a heated pan with butter

    toss to coat, and then remove and toss it in a bowl of hot sauce

  • Buffalo usually means wings fried w/o getting breaded. Jersey wings, or Yankee wings, or w/e, are the breaded ones. Usually. But, diehard buffalo wing enthusiasts will say no bread for wings.

  • I'm very frugal...so after awhile I started buying chicken thighs instead of wings for this recipe, and let me tell you, it's awesome! For people who are on a low fat diet, you can bake the chicken instead of frying it, I prefer frying it, but it's still great baked. The leftover butter/hotsauce mix, I pour over cooked white rice and it's fantastic. I use Franks Red hot hotsauce. It's cheap and tasty.

    I didn't put anything on the wings before frying, they went into the hot oil plain/naked. After frying is when they went into the hot sauce mixture of hot sauce, butter and the ranch dip (only used it as a spice) to make the hot sauce taste a little like ranch.

    Don't hesitate to ask anything else!

    Rub... no not the same.... the wings went into the oil naked with nothing... then went directly into the hot sauce mixture.... and that was it... serve with ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing...

    I put the ranch mix into the hot sauce for flavor

  • Ok I did buffalo wings 2 times in the past 3 weeks. First time was about 1/2 tabasco sauce and about 1/2 butter (after having fried the wings). But I was somewhat disappointed. It's not the perfect spicy recipe for wings if you get me (those in fancy wings restaurants dont taste like plain tabasco)

    Then I decided to make some with SRIRACHA spicy sauce, boy that was the worst mistake ive ever made, it was disgusting.
