That's Jason Newstead, he was the Bassist After Cliff Died and before Robert Came in.

Don't know why everyone thumbed you down, because you are correct. Maybe it's because you spelled his name wrong? I don't know. Lol.
But yes, Jason Newsted was the bassist for Metallica following Cliff's death, and quit shortly after this, then Rob joined.
