  • Great singers of Tyva trigger sounds of nature, songs of birds, yells and shouts of people, cry of a human, noises and rap of the wild animals, flash of the wind, his of the frozen air, crisp of burning wood, sting of the Sun... through the ages...through the wonderful throat singing... keeps you stand still in harsh and beauty, knock-outs your soul and drins your tears and joy...

  • This song is about- a lonely person who was travelling very far, came to his home place called Tuva, and cannot find his people, his home, everything has changed and nothing is familiar for him. he is lost and he is asking in the song: where are my people who were living in 7 places of Tuva? where are my seven hundred horses? where is the home of those tuvan people? where is the home of my seven hundred horses...
  • @TheMondele

could be translated as "fuck soviet russia" but lets say "fuck all politics"...

indigeneous cultures should be protected all around the world.. because they are one of the few kinds that are left to live with a kind behaviour and respect to other lives than theirs or their own kind's.

cheers to all which are not slaves of silly ideologies and unnecessary material gains.

  • @TheMondele you know Tuvan?

  • They played this last sunday in Boppard (Germany).

    By god it was stunning...

Traveled all the way from Holland to see them (with The Bulgarian Voices Angelite). Well worth the travel. Immediately bought all the available CD's.

  • incredible

  • This is so very beautiful. Many thanks for posting this song. :)

  • Beautiful song.

  • The other spelling for Kongurei is Kargyraa, which is the lowest throat-singing form (as in deep) of their tradition. The other two are Khoomei and Sygyt (whistling).

  • Is incredible this song

  • Tuva 'ya selamlar .

  • Oh god, I love this music! Thx 4 uploading.

Did you heared of the band "Yat-Kha"? You should listen to them, are im not sure, but Yat-Kha IS "Huun Huur tu" too, same band members (not all of them).

  • Actually Albert Kuvezin (former member of Huun Huur Tu) is the only member of Yat-Kha that has been a part of both bands.

  • Ah ok, thx for your information :)

  • Eki. What is the meaning of the Kongurei? It is a beautiful song. Is it a Mongolic word or Tuvan word?

  • I'm not 100% sure but I think it's Tuvan, groups like Huun Huur Tu tend to sing in Tuvan.

  • Turkic language

  • The song is about the decline of the Tuvan nation and the end of the traditional lifestyle.

  • what is the mean in of the Kongurei?"

  • It appears to be a filler word with no meaning.

  • sen tiva kiji sen?

  • Comment removed
