Maurice Gibb of the Bee Gees died from a similar affliction. I am curious as to HOW the intestines can twist around upon themselves. I had always thought that your 'guts' stay in the same place - just like your heart or your lungs. I understand that there are situations where some other tissue may grow and then bind to the intestines - there by cutting off the blood flow, but how does an intestine twist upon its self?
Really interesting vid, and terrific music to go with it! Thanks!

Very well done surgery. Most people would have ended up with a colostomy bag.
