I'm supporting this guy, but some freaks things like this aren't the jean michel's essence,, the only reason to plublish this shit, is to make money with a "new" disc (really nothing new) this is not music, there is no armony, just noise,, he was so young when he composed it, and that's well,,, but cmon, just to make money,,, no thanks,,,, i like to listen your music, not your samples and these stuff....
Anyway, Jean-Michel for ever, oxygene pour toujours.
this is fantastic. this was done in the late 60's, with a microphone, a revox tape recorder and a lot of cutting and splicing (the original version of cutting and pasting but using a knife and some tape and a lot longer than a few mouse clicks). Thats it. No instruments, no Mellotrons, no samplers. When was the last time any musician had to record their own sounds is this manner ? Its all on a plate for us, on sample CDs, on the net..etc.. we're spoilt rotten.
Amazing considering these synths would drift out of tune in no time and also there was no digital sampling then. A timeless masterpiece and so glad to hear it on the new Rarities album fully restored from the original master tapes.
Pure wanking, as in 90% of experimental production...

sounds similar to some very early Pink Floyd stuff who were also using the same instruments at that time
