become a big, big fan of UMI. Valarie has promise, but Umi soars as demonstrated in the Beethoven trio on Youtube, and ends it with her award winning smile.
brava! amazing :) Totally inspiring to learn this piece... it's so refreshing to hear someone play who isn't convinced the only way to play liszt is with lightning speed and a mechanical approach... it's nice to see someone bring out all the harmonies and melody clearly :) Well done!!
shes good, i just cant imagine how much her parents had to pressure her to play, cuz its hard for most kids to concentrate, but she is still so good, maybe in 5 years when her hands will get bigger she will do an even better job
According to her father, she isn't pressured to play, and she has a life away from music.
That's evident in her performance. She isn't like the many parent-pressured child-machines who have grim faces, dazzling technique and zero interpretation skills. Valerie and her sister Dominique are excellent performers who obviously enjoy what they're doing.
No, mate, you're wrong. You know, I'm psychologist, I'm working with girls like she, and I know EXACTLY what I'm talking about. If she could wait and play only 4 years later, it would be not so bad then. fell in love? maybe. like Ariel... ;-)

I pity you girl. No matter how talented you are I imagine how much sorrow and hard work it took to look like this for you. I know your parents are proud of you. I'm not proud of them. Go and play... some dolls.
Lol, maybe you are just jealous you were never given this opportunity when you were younger. I know for a fact that these girls do not simply play their instruments just because their parents made them; they play these instruments because they fell in love with them.
I'm not sure if you remember me, but this is Christina from the new praise concert last november. Aw, I didn't know you played piano too. You're so good~~~ : )
Hello, Christina. Dominique here. Yeah, Valerie started the piano before she learned violin. She's just as good on both. She's my regular accompanist for my flute performances. Did you see the main video on this channel (my dad's)?
it's not bad for a 10-year-old. Check out how Cziffera plays Gnomenreigen. It needs to be faster and more dynamic. The tempo needs to be more consistent (the last section was extremely slow) and don't lose the melody.
It really does sound like the ''Dance of the Gnomes''! Wonderfully played, sounds like a bunch of little gnomes dancing around a fire, causing mischief!
i wanted so much play like you U_U you both are wonderful!!!
i'm so sad cause i can't play like that" would give everything for a class ^^
