He shouldn't have bought the ticket or confirmed that with you when you hadn't agreed on the contract, like you say. Buying the ticket, meant you were going. Well, he can get credit for the bought ticket. About the hotel, most checkout times are at 12, (rare ones are 11) and it can be extended to 1 if you ask in advance but that's about all you're going to get. Otherwise, everything else he did sounds messed up.

I feel what u saying about business and contracts... I agree... but by not speaking up about your concerns about the detroit gig and tariq's gig beforehand, your level of integrity was compromised publicly... and this is the result, you being called flaky and/or known as flaky throughout the industry. What's wrong with stating your requirements upfront (4star hotel, contract, etc..)? All this could've been avoided if you woulda spoke up.. speak up...speak... that is what you do...right?

He shouldn't have bought the ticket or confirmed that with you when you hadn't agreed on the contract, like you say. Buying the ticket, meant you were going. Well, he can get credit for the bought ticket. About the hotel, most checkout times are at 12, (rare ones are 11) and it can be extended to 1 if you ask in advance but that's about all you're going to get. Otherwise, everything else he did sounds messed up.
