I took some pictures of fairies, I was driving along and all of a sudden I was trapped and could not go any further, I was surrounded! Turns out I had accidentally driven into a Gay Pride Parade! I have pictures to prove it! The Biggest Fairies you have ever seen!
no the 2 sisters said they faked it but its been proven almost impossible to make the wings almost invisible on the film they used and the camera from the time.im not saying it is false or not but if scientist cannot fake it today on the same stuff they used back then, maybe they were covering up the truth.
What a bunch of mischievious old ladies, lying close to their dyind day, only admitting they lied until recently. Then expecting you to believe the nonsense about fairies being real at one time.
Is that the same daughter with Frances who appeared in the Antiques Roadshow with the photographs? In that when she's obviously a lot older, she looks and sounds just like her mother!
fairy wings probably flap as fast as humming bird wings or somewhat close to it..therefore during that time it's impossible to get the fairies wings that sharp. with modern tech that's only possible.
@HoTtNeSSChiCK Actually a Hummingbird's wings (lets say a Ruby-thorated) usually beats about 70 times a second. However a Hummer has powerful chest muscles to help it move it's wings in a rotary fashion. A fairy, with wings growing out of the back would not be able to support itself. This also debunks the so called Biblical Angel B.S.
@HoTtNeSSChiCK Here's what you wrote a year ago.....fairy wings probably flap as fast as humming bird wings or somewhat close to it..therefore during that time it's impossible to get the fairies wings that sharp. with modern tech that's only possible.
It's true. The girls later grew up to admit that the fairy photos were faked. They used cut outs from their coloring books which included fairy images. However, they claimed they were inspired to fake the photos from supposedly *true* fairy sightings they had.
That's not what I've heard. From what I know the women admitted that it was a fake but they claim they faked the photos becuase they had truly seen fairies there.
just so everyone knows.. the photos of the fairies wernt drawn. i belive there were 5.. any ways all of the photos with the girls and the fairies were fake except one. the others were cutouts held on with cloths pins. even thought those were fake.. i still believe in faries!
This is a nice series. Too bad there is nothing like it on tv now:( I had never seen anything modern (at least anything past the 1960's) of Ted Serios. Thanks for posting.
In 1981, in an interview by Joe Cooper for the magazine The Unexplained,[1] the cousins stated that the photos were fake.
Also in the waterfall picture, notice how, because the water is moving, the waterfall is blurry. In fact, any picture in those days taking had to be perfectly still to develop properly. The stance of the fairies suggest movement, but they are perfectly clear, especially the wings! wouldn't you think wings flapping would have to be blurred out????
The fairies where bullshit actually. The 2 sisters admitted that they used cut up and pasted it on their clothes and skin before taking that picture. One of the sister died of old age sickness and the other one admitted few days back.
I agree. people either really really don't want to believe this or really really want to believe this.
there are a lot of sneaky business with this story that doesn't make sense either way. grown, brilliant men were fooled. houdini was fooled. but then again, houdini was fooled by the easiest card trick in the world so...
The reason the cutouts were never found was because the girls said they dropped it into the water. Also, you should take a look at Princess Mary's Gift Book- the fairies drawn there are nearly identical to what Elsie drew (same positioning, etc).
ok back then you had to grow up fast 10 years old could feel like as mature as 16 and her cuz was always there with her so she would make sure and the friend in africa was probably her imagition besides they said it was fake
The fairy photos turned out to be a hoax by the 2 ladies who were the little girls in the photos. They admitted in around 1982, that they had cut out little fairy paperdolls from a book and pasted them on things.

I'm surprised that one guy didn't transmit an image of a whiskey bottle to the polaroid film.

yeah but the fifth photo was actually real, they admitted many times that the one with the fairies playing was real.

The cousins said the photos were faked. But they always maintained they'd seen fairies at the stream. (So fairy fans can still believe).
The drawn fairies in the photos can't hide their fashionable edwardian style!

This comment has received too many negative votes show
i think that the photos are real of the faries, for a number of reasons,
why wasnt the cut outs ever found?
how could a ten year old girl keep quiet like that without giving anything away?
why did one of the girls send a letter to a friend in south africa telling her abut faries years before the photos were taken?
why did they keep quiet for so long only to say when the were older that it was fake?answer - they didnt wana die with the tag of the fairy ladies
