dude this movie wasn't even hated when it first came out - in fact a lot of people said it was better than batman returns at the time. it's because of its predecessor that everyone hates it now. same sort of thing happened with the spider-man movies - the last one just screwed over the credibility of all the other ones before it for some people.

Batman Forever was a pretty good Batman movie. Yes it did have its flaws, batass,batnipples,too much giggling,not enough character development, but overall I really enjoyed it. Val Kilmer is my second favorite Batman to Keaton. Kilmer could have been the best batman, if he had a better movie. Plus I know some people disagree with me on this, but I feel having an older Robin instead of a boy made it better.
