I have always been extremely irritated by cheezy, over-the-top R&B/gospel vocal inflections in white pop music, ESPECIALLY from studio-created "starlets" that seem to show up and disappear as fast as yesterday's newspaper blowing down the street. But Christina has left me completely spellbound with her alien-beautiful voice that evokes emotions I didn't know I even had. What a magical creature. You have to listen over and over to realize nobody else does what she does with her voice.

To those of you who thinks this is NOT a playback, please explain yourself why is her mic so close to her mouth? Why isn't she pulling the mic aways like she normally does? Look at her performance on VMA, Rockfeller Center. The mics are pulled away as per normal and there is a difference in singing. She has to save her voice for the rest of the set, also this song deals with the darkness of her past which, effects her even now so singing it is more than hitting notes for her, it's pouring her emotion out and releasing what's inside. she really can sing those songs live. like if she's only doing one, like on a show or something she does it how she does recorded but if it's a set she has to maintain her vocal power.
